Some of yall are so desperate to feel significant and important above other black people you make a fool of yourself with all that chest bumping hubris.

Ironically it was a Jamaican activist who introduced the iconic red, black and green flag of black pride to the United States. And now a bunch of "proud to be an Americun" hashtag internet militants who swear they are the sole arbiters of fighting white supremacy and never backing away want to denounce the flag in favor of waving and celebrating a damn US flag like a bunch of bumblefukk redneck cacs.

The bytch ain't even American :mjlol: But yeah us "Yanks" will keep being decisive its all an illusion we're crazy

One thing yall not gonna do is come in here and act like money doesn’t equal power everywhere on Earth. Black Jamaicans have a legacy of slavery and colonialism. Why would they at this point have a majority stake on the island?

We don’t even control our own black neighborhoods here in the US, but y’all want to talk down on some poor Jamaicans for not owning an island

Jamaica is 90% Black. How the fukk don't they own their own island other then gross miscompotence:skip:

You could never compare that to the situation of Black folks in America who at best make up 16% of the population, a MINORITY GROUP, and have had actual laws on record to supress them. fukk no

The hood is majority black too. Why don’t they own the block? Oh that’s different…

Black Jamaicans have never had the economic opportunity to own. You all seem to forget, Jamaica has always been in the control of imperial powers. The solution is to nationalize everything? Then what?

The bulk of Mau Mau fighters were farmers from various related tribes who had gone to fight in the world war and came back only to be shortchanged. The average Kenyan knows what racism is and the economic implications of the same, such as the protests going on now against the SAPs by a mostly white organisation IMF, which was caused by economic mismanagement by our African/black leaders. So we fight who we can see( custodian class) who are pupeteering these guys. That's how the whites rule in africa, directly is impossible, so they always have a class that bows to them. The Mau Mau knew this in the 40s with barely any education, we know that now too. What type of people does he think we are?

@NYC Rebel

There you have it. Please speak on Kenyans again.

This guy is dense. Funny enough alot of Black people in fact do own the block but once again theres that pesky being a minority in a white country thing you keep ignoring.

I couldn't imagine a country where Black Americans made 90% of the population and subjected themselves to being ran by Lebanese cacs and chinamen :mjlol:

In Kenya, there are tensions around colorism, class and different ethnicities. But except for South Africa, issues around Black and White identity are non-existent in a lot of African countries, said Karsonya Wise Whitehead, associate professor of African and African American Studies at Loyola University.

“When I was in Kenya, the guy who took my bag (at the airport) was Black. The guy who flew the plane was Black. The president was Black,” said Whitehead, who’s traveled to many African countries. “As a Black person from an African country, you haven’t seen the long history of oppression, the long history of social injustice that those of us who were born here, who are descendants of enslaved people, have seen.”

Dont let one poster fool you. Thing is, you are cherry picking

You’re just ignorant. And that’s ok. We can end the discussion here. It’s not the same bc you don’t want it to be. Jamaica is controlled by a much more powerful economic entity and other underlying factors just like black Americans are. You’ve still offered no solution except misguided comparisons

You said all that like Africa, almost an entire continent, doesn’t deal with the exact same subjugation on differing levels.

I agree 100%.

Its wild how Dr Amos Wilson paralleled the “independence movements” of Africa and the West Indians to that of the civil rights act in 1964 and the results being one and the same. An illusion
