Recruiters & direct contact are it. I get the feeling I will get my next job through direct contact (i.e. emailing my resume to whoever has an email addy up on a company's website)

I'm goin to school for management and finance. I make very good grades but I fear that the work experience is gonna kill me!! I'm just hoping that people look passed it because of my work ethic and good grades.

On a more serious note, though.
Some companies SAY this, but don't mean it. It's only to weed out those who really have doubts about the position.
I'm not saying it always works, but it definitely applies, sometimes.
My younger brother is the king of no experience / no certificates, and the lil nikka is working a 40k job as a system admin @ 20 years old. He's getting underpaid, for the job, I believe. BUT, he got the job because he just randomly applied. And this is gonna look good for him, experience wise, later down the road.
The job he had, before this was 2 years as a Tech support...........at Staples.
That lil nikka amazes me sometimes.
You have to work the system. They say you need experience, well create your own experience. Me, I used to go around with my dad and help people setup their networks, computers ect. Charge a couple dollars...so I just made up a company name and put down exactly what I did and pretended that it was a job that I worked.
It was real experience that I gained so they can't catch me off guard with questions about it. They made this dumb ass system so make it work for you.
