It's a catch 22.

I am truly a jane of all trades; worked many jobs I wasn't qualified for due to my resume :jawalrus:

One time I got caught up and they actually checked out my information and I was fired two weeks after I was hired

It depends on the company and their HR department. Some do extensive background checks, while others could care less and simply want to fill the position.

When I worked in corporate HR we only did criminal background checks. Those boxes where you have to fill in your previous supervisor's phone number, we never ever called those not even once....so you already know what to do :jawalrus:

But if you DO embellish on your resume, you better know that shyt like the back of your hand when it's time to interview. Your resume will get you in the door but you still gotta be able to answer the questions confidently and not look like you're blatantly bullshytting. Don't list skills or accomplishments on your resume then be :dwillhuh: when they ask you to expound upon that.

I'm scared to try this.:ld:

I don't really need a job right now...I've got a decent one....but I might try this for fun. See what happens. :manny:

Man, if I wasn't feeling so lazy this morning I would put y'all onto some SERIOUS game.

The first question you have to ask yourself is "Where do I want to live?" Next is, "What lifestyle do I want to have or to work toward?" After that, "What are my strengths and weaknesses?" The moment you can honestly answer those questions you are ready to start your job search. More later… but yeah there are plenty of entry level positions out there for people with minimal experience and no degree.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I love it when people lie to me in interviews or embelish the resume like I am not going to find out truth.
TBH, when I am looking to fill a position, I ask for that kind of stuff, but if someone comes in the interview and kills it, or they have good experience without a degree, I consider hiring them. Half of my department staff doesn't have a degree, but my team puts all the other departments in my building to shame. :smugdraper::smugdraper::smugdraper:

Trueeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

What I never understood about job interviews or this whole experience/education facade; most companies train you to work their software or the intricate rules/details of their organization. Your previous work history rarely coincides from employer to employer. Yes, there will be similarities but they're seldom the same.

I've never went on an interview selling anyone a dream. To truly know my work ethic you'll have to hire me.

Works every time :pachaha:

Most interviewers get the crack of their ass licked by whoever is applying for the position. It's better to stand out than be a brown noser who'll blend in with the sameness of everyone else that walked through the door.

I'll be the 1st to say I don't have the gift of gab, with me confidence is key.

Its easy to bullshyt, like I said before my uncle got a corporate job at the World Trade Center and homie didnt even have a degree :pachaha: . You can get a job with no degree. But having a degree makes shyt HELLA easier.

Gives you leway to bend the truth. Thats why I tend to laugh at cats who worry about their GPA n refrences in college. Unless you going to grad school that shyt dont matter. And after you get ya first job that shyt becomes a thing of the past. I wonder why nobody tells people this, when your growing up. It would save you a whole lot of stress.

No negro would ever make it into high positions of society without ever having their credentials checked. Especially not in the western world. Y'all are living in Duckberg :duck: if you think you're gonna get a high profile job and lie about your credentials

Some companies have weird rules where if a job isn't filled internally in a certain amount of time then they have to post it outside the company. They will just post the job then continue their search internally. You will literally see the same job posted over and over and over on monster.com but they have no intention of hiring someone from outside the company.

This here is that dat bullshyt. shyt is disgusting to another level.:snoop:

College is for networking and partying. Grades? When was the last time you heard anyone of substance brag about their GPA? Hell, the past two presidents have been C students.
