Who is still talking about the Dark Knight?

Weeks ago there were articles anywhere you looked celebrating it’s 10th anniversary. Movie is still the king

Super hero movies are for entertainment and to see your favorite comic book hero get off on the big screen. If the shyt turns out to be a great movie, cool.

People when asked about their fav. movies often say The Dark Knight. It might not be their number one but it's up there. It's also easy to recommend it because it works without having to watch other movies first.

I'll buy that, I feel like Black Panther is the same since it's more about the story instead of the action. My mom went to go see it when it came out and called to tell me that she was going to buy the 4K+BR+Digital bundle when it as released

I think the fact that Children of Men is a vastly superior movie to Logan kinda proves his point, given that both are almost beat for beat the same narrative, and Logan came out over a decade after Children of Men.

Yeah I've watched that movie a good half a dozen times, gets better with each viewing.

I'd watch it again.

That's cool man, I don't need to watch Whiplash again to know it's amazing.

Cinematography, performance, direction, atmosphere, tension, the entire third act there's more but I think you get the point.

he's wrong that there is a difference. good is good, great is great. doesnt matter what it is. i dont like qualifiers, but also most superhero movies are not "great". the genre makes it hard to be great when they have so many masters to serve (faithful adaptation, chinese audience, toxic white boys, PG-13 rating, building a universe, etc.)

i dont think you need to segregate films, heath ledger's joker is the best supporting acting job of the year it came out, regardless of genre. but also it is true that people are over-hyping some of these super hero movies

if dark knight is your fav movie that’s cool... but when ppl try and legitimately put it in the same category as other adult dramas i just roll me eyes.

it’s deeper and more sophisticated than most of its contemporaries sure... but it’s not a ‘powerful’ or ‘gripping’ experience. none of these movies are.
