We better be getting something good back.

This is the mindset of Jazz fans and media,

Jae is the last of the three guys I would trade. As talented as Brown and Tatum are, they are not mature enough right now to take on more responsibility. Jae's also got one of the best contracts in the league and gives us more size. It should be between Avery and Marcus. The question is, is the ownership ready to pay big bucks in luxury taxes if we keep Avery and Marcus over Jae? Next year Isaiah, Avery, and Marcus are free agents. And Isaiah and Avery are due for some big paydays.

Woj, Shelbourne, and Bobby Marks of espn wrote yesterday
"The Celtics' payroll could soar to $150 million next summer if Bradley, Smart and Isaiah Thomas are all brought back, and Boston could have a luxury tax bill of more than $70 million."

Crowder was a trade throw in that immediately had an impact. He proceeded to sign one of the most valuable contracts in the NBA, became a knock down three point shooter with the kind of defensive versatility that any team dreams of.

Crowder is not a franchise altering player, but he has the kind of two way impact that teams spend years trying to get. Crowder defends any position for the Celtics, plays comfortable in the offense and, most importantly, was a borderline 40 percent three point shooter.

Crowder certainly is limited. He does not create on offense and does not distribute the ball. That being said, the Celtics did not need him to do that.

In fact, Crowder did everything the Celtics ever wanted out of him and then some. He become the top tier defender that the Mavericks obviously thought would be impossible. He improved his shooting so quickly that many people forget the extraordinary progress he made.

Did I forget to mention that he is just 26 years old and could easily continue to improve.

Jae Crowder Deserves Nothing but Praise

I'm glad to see Crowder get some love from the Boston media. :GladBrad:
