You think Otto is that much of a difference maker?

For the Nets, he's good enough to move the needle (having them in relative contention for a playoffs spot). And Otto has been improving each season. He may just be ready to make the next leap in his career.

Last summer, Horford joined us as a marquee free agent. This summer, Hayward joined us. Additionally, Boston has a reputation among the league's players of having one of the strongest and most loyal fanbases. The narrative that Boston isn't an attractive FA destination needs to die.

Nah it definitely would hurt us considering the competition of awfulness at the bottom there looks like it's going to end up.

With that said, Wizards will likely match so it's moot. For now I expect the Nets pick to be in the 4-6 range

Bradley because Crowder is so cheap over the next three seasons.

Yeah I was thinking that. As far as skill, Avery is obviously more talented. But he's going to demand more money on this next contract

And he is injury prone :francis:

And I wouldn't even trade Avery for another guard. Celtics have enough with Terry and Smart as backups

I'd be all up on the Knicks about Zingas if there was a way to make the money work now.....

We could offer them a good package but I'm not sure how willing they are to listen to offers for Kristaps, especially in the aftermath of getting rid of Phil.

Hayward is one of the more organic scorers in the NBA and doesn’t need to dominate the ball to make an impact. His 27.6 percent usage rate was one of the lowest among players who managed 20 points per game last season. And despite being Utah’s primary option, his usage didn’t increase much in clutch situations (28 percent). This pattern is much different from that of Thomas, whose usage skyrocketed to 46 percent in the clutch from 34 percent in general.

Hayward gets his offense in other ways. He excels in transition (only Jimmy Butler outscored Hayward’s 1.38 points per transition play, per Synergy Sports) and figures to have more fast-break opportunities as a Celtic because Boston plays at a much faster pace than Utah, which has finished dead last in tempo each of the past three seasons.

The 27-year-old also gets to the line frequently. Hayward, like many other NBA guards, has nearly perfected the art of drawing fouls as a jump shooter (he drew calls 19 percent of the time when the defender tried to go over his screen in pick-and-rolls, which is the NBA’s 11th-highest mark, according to Synergy). He’s gotten far better at finishing through contact, not only shooting 69 percent at the rim, but also finishing the season with more and-1s than shots rejected. To give that context, consider that only three other wing players showed a similar ability to hit and-1s more than they got blocked, per Basketball-Reference.com: Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and LeBron.

Gordon Hayward Is Exactly What The Celtics Needed

#celtsgang, don't let anybody else tell you differently; we won with Hayward's acquisition. :NasWinsAgain:
