Is there really a shortage of black men for black women to date/married? OR

The problem for black women is that...for some reason...they put black men in only 2 categories...

1. He don't make enough money...he don't got a nice enough car...he don't got a nice enough place...that nikka ain't shyt...I'm not even going to waste my time with him....

2. He got all the money...he got a nice car...he got a nice place...this is the black man I want...and this is the only black man I want...

Problem is...a dude in the number 2 category....can have any woman he wants...so why the fukk would he want you? A dude in this category will have a lot of women...from a lot of races...falling all over him...so...what exactly do you have that is going to put you above all these other women? Plus, a "successful" black man is a commodity now...and a very sought after commodity at that...their are plenty of women from other races who will look down on the black race...but a black man with money...nice big house...nice car...yeah them same women will be begging for that dude to turn their mouths into a nursery...for whatever reasons you want to make up in your head...

Even funnier...black women can't seem to understand...that most black men who get to category 2....started in category 1...when black women was shytting on them...and then poof...they just supposed to forget about that...nah...

This is probably true for some black women who are lower SES. But its an over simplification of what makes a black man desirable and neither option 1 or 2 are very desirable IMO. There is MUCH more to making a black man desirable than just having/making money and MANY black men don't seem to really
"get it"

Drake is everything wrong with this generation when it comes to interacting with women.:mjlol: If he wasn't an entertainer you'd think he was too kind, predictable and boring.

I prefer my guys to be kind, reliable, responsible, intelligent and respectful gentlemen. Sorry if you believe that makes me a unicorn amongst black women.....I am not.

Your both as bad as each other (black men and black women) spending your whole time blaming each other instead of trying to build together. Things wont change till that happens.

I don't understand this "get it" part...

When a white man and a white woman want to be together...there is nothing to "get"...it's just something that happens...

When an asian man and a asian woman want to be together...there is nothing to "get"...it's just something that happens...

When a black man and a black woman want to be together...somehow the black man has to "get it" first...somehow there is this weird psychoanalysis outside the box shyt he must first understand...

Never really understood what "it" is...

Black men's LARGEST media platform is in hip hop. Tell me that black women are not relentless bashed in that medium.

And Black women seem to love it. They help Lil Wayne and other dumb nikkas sell records and fill venues for concerts.

I'll ask you again: show me where "educated" Black men have gone on CNN, Nightline, ABC and other networks to throw Black women under the bus.

Quite often, Black men don't have the patience to "get it" when it comes to dealing with Black women, especially when there are women of other races giving him play.

That is not what I said.

My post was in direct response to the comment about black women allegedly placing black men into two categories 1) black men without money and 2) black men with money. Many black men have an oversimplified idea of what makes a man (of any race) desirable.

I've noticed black women will be more hesitant and standoffish if you look like the type of black guy that hangs out with white people. I will still talk to them and usually 9/10 they will open up and actually start leading me on until I ask them for a date. the other 1/10 are extra bouquie and will only mess with guys outside of their race.

I personally just think it is due to low self esteem and but as a black guy you have to initiate the flirt in order to break the ice.:jawalrus:

Black women are beautiful and we live in a culture that tells people that only pale, blue eyed skinny white women are attractive. It's up to us brothas to make sure they stay in shape and feel good about themselves as black women.

And many of these same men give women of other races a pass on the same characteristics for which they chide black women.

A person who lives within their means >>>> a person with "money" (whatever that means as that statement is almost relative)

This could be an entire thread all of its own but the media does not care what black men have to say because they are viewed as "the problem". Personally, I NEVER would have gone on any of those news programs and discussed this issue but that is just me. I do believe that there is an "agenda" which black men (and now black women) have been unwitting participants. And the vast majority of ALL of our posts on the subject reflect the success of the agenda. But at least I recognize it. Many still do not "get it".

:erroneous:

Stop comparing thousands of years of catering to and uplifting the white woman to a Black woman's plight. If a Black woman having to toughen up to survive in a hostile society turns a Black man off then maybe she is better off without said Black man. Marriage rates in the U.S. are declining; whether she is a hostile or docile Black woman.
What people own, not just what they earn or know, shapes entrance into marriage and so may perpetuate disadvantage across generations.”
http://psychcentral.com/news/2011/1...influences-whether-you-get-married/30149.html

A tough woman isn't attractive to any man, not just Black men. Only undercover fakkits want lay up with a tough woman, consistently.

Blacks had high marriage rates during the 1950s, when a lot of Blacks were even poorer.

What's happened is men no longer see the value of marriage as an institution. They get raped in the courts in the event of a divorce. So, why go through that when they can get all the p*ssy they want outside the confines of marriage.

If the court system were not so jacked up and p*ssy were hard to come by outside marriage, nikkas would be marrying more at all financial levels. Believe that.

That's what a lot of these Black women don't get. Yeah, you want a man that makes X amount of money. You may find one who does. But, what is his true financial status? That nikka may also have X amount of debt, making his net worth a joke. One pink slip from being dead broke.

He's got the BMW, flashy clothes, etc. But, that nikka is rocking with $70K student loan debt, credit card debt, etc. Said Black woman is also bringing her own debt into the fold.

That's how a lot of these women get tricked. They fall for all the flash when, quite often, that nikka is living above his means. When it comes time to lay it all out on the table for marriage, that nikka doesn't look as attractive a long-term partner.

Almost every Black man with something positive going for himself has gotten the "you look like you probably date white women" line.

How is it up to us to ensure Black women stay in shape? They should want to stay in shape for their own health, breh.
