Marrying up occurs on an individual basis i.e. marrying someone with a higher income and better prospects than yourself. Those household income levels are for the spouses combined but do not show the distribution of income between the two spouses. It isn't a stretch to consider that a good number of the black women in these unions are marrying white men with lower income than themselves. Its not hard to work out brehette :youngsabo:
Black women just like black men place a premium on "whiteness", I'm tired of seeing just black men called out for this shyt while nobody calls black women out on it. Just like a black man may be happy to get involved with a busted white chick but would require a black woman to be attractive, a black woman may be happy to get involved with a white male who is below her level in terms of education/income but would require a black man to be strictly above it.

i don't believe black women date down when it comes to white men ima need proof of that.

But its about money (or more accurately financial stability) with ALL women. Black men need to stop vilifying black women for making the exact same demands that white, Asian and Hispanic women ALL make on men.

Yeah. But, at least those women are honest about it.

They aren't talking about the lack of "good" men in their groups. Black women get on television and other media and throw nikkas under the bus as if we're just a collection of shiftless, low character imbeciles. That's how it reads when they say there's a lack of "good" Black men.

Now, if they were honest about it, and kept it 100% by saying "there aren't enough men making the money to give me the same lifestyle as my non-Black counterparts", that's a totally different discussion.

I guarantee you: if they started to probe why Black men aren't in a position to make that type of money, they'd cut the camera in an instant.

inheritance?

are you mixed or something lol

gotta be some whites in your family

Again with this mentality....

I also come from a 2 black parent home and received an inheritance from grandparents on both sides of my family.

Why is it beyond comprehension that black men and women save and invest with the goal intent of passing on wealth to their heirs?

Let's be honest here....

Its easier for black men to mercilessly bash black women than it is to address the REAL issues that plague black men specifically. Black men would rather talk about white women with fat behinds than discuss ways to lower the rate of black men who abandon their responsibilities as fathers or to protect themselves from getting and spreading HIV.

It's very rare to see Black men go on national media and throw Black women under the bus. When it does happen, those nikkas get dragged. But, it's fairly common to see Black women in national media throwing nikkas under the bus, explicitly and implicitly.

A lot of those Black men didn't even want to be fathers or showed no signs of being responsible fathers. The women should have aborted in most cases. They played themselves.

Most Black men are getting HIV in prison and spreading it when they come out. Black women love some good fresh-out-of-prison penis, so the shyt spreads.

Most men in other groups, fresh out of prison, don't have a buffet of women to choose from like Black men.

nikkas coming out of prison get shown more love than nikkas fresh out of college in the Black community. Tell me I'm lying, brehette.

You can not be serious? The assassination of the black woman happens over and over again with one of the main culprits often being black men whom lead the pack like they are leading off a Klan rally.

Dumb nikkas on Youtube and c00n rappers?. Come on, brehette.

Show me where a nikka has gone on Nightline, CNN or some other shyt and thrown Black women under the bus.

It doesn't happen. And when it does, those nikkas get dragged.

america is becoming an increasingly individualistic society, so using your situation as some sort of standard is dumb, but you're very quickly gaining a monopoly on stupid posts in this thread

This isn't national media dumbass.

But let's take it back for a second. Latinos are in a similar economic situation as us in America. So why aren't their women appearing in front of the nation to throw the men of their race under the bus? Why are they so comfortable "settling" for making families with the large majority of blue collar men in their community? Why do they build with the males of their race instead of rationalizing dating broke white men? Why hasn't their "standards" :mjlol: risen past 95% of the males in their community?

Don't answer that, the sensible discussion aint for you

In regards to relationships I don't know how that's what Im asking you? I don't know what white supremacy has to do with the black family. How do you think it effects you then cause I don't see it affecting me and others IRL at least not to the extent you get online. I build with like minded people dating wise and have no problem finding women that fit that black and otherwise. If you're (general) really having dating problems chances are its you.
Stop with the assumptions. Because I make statements about white supremacy impacting the Black family doesn't mean that I have dating problems. If you don't know what white supremacy has to do with the black family then you are either white and don't believe in white supremacy or Black and in denial about the History of the Black family in the U.S.
“If those who are already disadvantaged are now marrying less and so missing out on these beneficial properties of marriage, that could cement cycles of disadvantage and intergenerational inequality.”Several studies have found that having a steady job and a good income are important factors in determining whether someone gets married.
Because blacks and those with less education face disadvantages in the labor market, they might tend to hold off marriage longer, thereby increasing gaps in marriage rates. But income only explains a part of these gaps, Schneider says.

Tell that to women from around the world who have it just as hard as Black women, yet still maintain their femininity. Even women in Sri Lanka, who take up arms and fight alongside their men, still maintain their femininity. Women in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other places who've lost husbands, fathers, sons, etc. still maintain their femininity despite all that horrific shyt.

I know cac women who are VPs, managers, and other shyt by day, but embrace their roles as wives at night. A lot of Black women, on the other hand, have embraced being hard 24/7. They wear it as a badge of honor.

That shyt turns most men off. No man wants to deal with a hard woman unless he's a closet fakkit. fukk he look like coming home from a hard day's work to chill with a man-like creature in terms of personality and attitude. Average Black man just wants peace when he comes home. Most Black women who can provide that get wifed up.
:erroneous:

Stop comparing thousands of years of catering to and uplifting the white woman to a Black woman's plight. If a Black woman having to toughen up to survive in a hostile society turns a Black man off then maybe she is better off without said Black man. Marriage rates in the U.S. are declining; whether she is a hostile or docile Black woman.
What people own, not just what they earn or know, shapes entrance into marriage and so may perpetuate disadvantage across generations.”

There is no shortage. A lot of women just have unrealistic expectations. After they realize that Stringer Bell doesn't exist, they want to go out and find a dependable guy that makes at least 80k. I was just in a meeting with several black women, and after the meeting they started talking about relationships. The leader of the pack was already married to a guy that makes six figures. Since they were all educated, she was telling the single women that they needed to find someone on the same educational level. They all agreed but were complaining about how hard it is. I chimed in and said education doesn't make the person, but I got the :rudy:

The problem for black women is that...for some reason...they put black men in only 2 categories...

1. He don't make enough money...he don't got a nice enough car...he don't got a nice enough place...that nikka ain't shyt...I'm not even going to waste my time with him....

2. He got all the money...he got a nice car...he got a nice place...this is the black man I want...and this is the only black man I want...

Problem is...a dude in the number 2 category....can have any woman he wants...so why the fukk would he want you? A dude in this category will have a lot of women...from a lot of races...falling all over him...so...what exactly do you have that is going to put you above all these other women? Plus, a "successful" black man is a commodity now...and a very sought after commodity at that...their are plenty of women from other races who will look down on the black race...but a black man with money...nice big house...nice car...yeah them same women will be begging for that dude to turn their mouths into a nursery...for whatever reasons you want to make up in your head...

Even funnier...black women can't seem to understand...that most black men who get to category 2....started in category 1...when black women was shytting on them...and then poof...they just supposed to forget about that...nah...

Tupac died in the mid 90s and Drake is one artist whom black men universally disrespect as being soft.

Drake is everything wrong with this generation when it comes to interacting with women.:mjlol: If he wasn't an entertainer you'd think he was too kind, predictable and boring.
