hope this isnt about that bullshyt book 'they came before columbus'

the maya were at the peak of their civilization while europe was in the dark ages living like animals

No bullshyt. Their God was a white man who came on a boat. Probably was the orginal whites from Asia or ancient Viking who da f knows. He seen the savage lifestyle and was like yall need to get this shyt together and he taught them everything they know. He had other people with him too so who knows what culture (Race was non existent back then) they were?

This isn't true.

he concept of a Dark Age originated with the Italian scholar Petrarch (Francesco Petrarca) in the 1330s, and was originally intended as a sweeping criticism of the character of Late Latin literature.[3][12] Petrarch regarded the post-Roman centuries as "dark" compared to the light of classical antiquity. Later historians expanded the term to refer to the transitional period between Roman times and the High Middle Ages (c. 11th–13th century), including not only the lack of Latin literature, but also a lack of contemporary written history, general demographic decline, limited building activity and material cultural achievements in general. Later historians and writers picked up the concept, and popular culture has further expanded on it as a vehicle to depict the Middle Ages as a time of backwardness, extending its pejorative use and expanding its scope

Y'all keep showing these pyramids but its the technique which made building them unique in Egypt and S.A. The block placement precision etc.... The same knowledge was passed around.

Did they pass the knowledge down to the termites and ants too?

Leasy, all am I trying to make you do is back up your argument with something outside of a debunked book.

They did share common knowledge, because we were a species for c. 200,000 years. The major break downs due to human migration are relatively much more recent.

Probably but their pyramids wasn't built block by block weighing a ton and each block weighing over a couple of tons did they? Were they EarthQuake proof and so precise that only a diamond super powered laser controlled beam can only cut through it.

america got its whole style from england-

england got it's whole style from rome-

rome got it's whole style from ancient greece-

and ancient greece got it's whole style from ancient egypt :obama:

ancient egypt also got it's whole style from an earlier source but thats irrelevant in this conversation.

and the design and functionality of the pyramids is far more complex that people realize. moving 100 ton blocks of limestone hundreds of miles, then lifting and placing them into precise mathematical positions... with ropes, leverage, and pulleys :childplease: lol naw... not on ya life...

word now maya mythology = historical fact

considering the maya had like 9384938493 gods you dumb mf'ers in here talking about "their god was white so that means some white guy came here and taught them mathematics, written language and astronomical knowledge that wasnt seen anywhere else on the planet"

right?

tell me about popol vuh and how this creation myth and the gods involved are 'different' from kukulkan/quetzalcoatl which clearly (with historical accuracy) shows that a white guy came and taught them eveyrthing and then went back home and removed all signs of this knowledge from the civilization it originated in

srsly tell me more

EGYPT WASN'T REALLY ABOUT REPUBLICS AND FREETHINKING PHILOSOPHY, BROTHER! THEIR CULTURE WAS ONE OF THEOCRATIC MONARCHY, DUDE! BUT TO DESCRIBE ANY NATION AS HAVING TAKEN ALL OF THEIR STYLE FROM A SINGLE OTHER NATION IS OBVIOUSLY A GROSS SIMPLIFICATION, MAN! YOU MENTIONED ENGLAND, FOR EXAMPLE! WHILE THE ROMANS HAD BEEN THERE, ENGLAND'S CULTURE IS REALLY THE RESULT OF FRENCH AND GERMAN SETTLEMENT, BROTHER! SAXONS AND NORMANS, MEAN GENE!

The Egyptians did it using water, rope and ingenuity. People tend to forget that the Giza pyramids are located near a quarry and the Nile river. So the blocks were pretty much right there, just a couple miles or less. In the case of the Maya/Inca/Aztecs/Olmecs, they used wooden sleds/boats to move the blocks from their quarries to the building sites in many cases. In others, the quarries are located within walking distance. People also overlook the fact that these structures didn't get built overnight. One pyramid could take 20 or more years to build.

Aligning the structures to stars was relatively easy since they don't move aside from orbital variations that were carefully observed. Each culture also developed its own mathematics to assist them in recording these observations. Egyptian math is well-documented while Inca/Maya/Aztec math has only been recently revealed in the last 60 or so years.

Here's an example of Ethiopian math that pre-dates Egypt....

The people downplaying these cultures' achievements are those attributing them to some 'outside' influences.
