Please explain how today's system is worse than a time when we were LITERALLY slaves. You're talking about DeFacto Discrimination as opposed to DeJure slavery, please explain how the former could possibly be worse than the latter
y'all even getting too militant for me. :tf:
wait, wait wait. you live around all of those #inherently people?decent amount of Blacks but it's predominately white.

I don't know how @Matt504 does it. Must make his skin crawl
It's not about being "militant". It's the truth. We barely have any rights in this country. We can't get justice. Vigilantes like Zimmerman and Michael Dunn are killing unarmed black kids and getting away with it. Police are getting away with killing black youth regardless of what type of background they came from.
And I'm sick of the "militant" label. What's wrong with being passionate about helping your own community and wanting to see them do better? If anything, being "militant" is what we should be aiming for. People in society see how much of pushovers we are which is why a cac like Donald Sterling can completely shyt on all of us in an internationally televised interview with no filter or hesitation and corny nikkas want to talk about "praying and forgiveness".

@cook
just noticed you added an "users who are viewing this thread" this the type of vB stuff i've been missing
edit: all these lurkers
An old vBulletin feature has been added. You can now see the current users who are viewing a thread again.
Please note, this is a brand new release that we have volunteered to test. It's possible this feature may be removed if it negatively effects server performance.
I hope this part is not dedicated to me because my posts tell you differently; I was born and raised in those communities and I have spent my adult life working in those same communities, so I will pass that bolded part over
As for my argument I will state it again for the fourth time: I argue that racial oppression is not worse or better; it has transformed in method and mechanization based on the political economy and the resistance of the black masses. The question in the OP is not relevant because it does not incorporate the fractures and fissures throughout history that shifted how racial oppression behaves and how race, capital, and class intersected; Black Racial Formation and Transformation Theory provides a perfect sociohistorical context for us to gauge racial capitalist oppression and its connection to the position of the black masses in the political economy.
As for my own oppression, I was born and raised in southwest Atlanta, one of the poorest parts of the city. My parents are working class who worked their ass off everyday just so we could eat; My father and I have both been harassed by police; my mother was spit on numerous times when she was a gilr integrating Atlanta Public Schools system, I watched my community degenerate over the years; I didn't live the oppression, breh; I LIVE it today and everyday for the rest of my life and it is VASTLY different from 100 years ago, but oppression is oppression and that's why I have dedicated my life to fighting it.
