This just made me want to delete my facebook. It's disgusting to see putting your business and life somewhere for everyone to access is considered the norm.

Notice how every website offers an option for you to sign in with facebook? Facebook, twitter, and all of these huge media network sites are pretty much a covert attempt to gather as much information on you as possible, which is why you need to be very careful what you post on there. Pretty soon it will be used to monitor you for 'thought crime', aka you thinking the 'wrong things' and will make you a suspect.

There is a big difference between psychopaths and antisocials. Psychos are usually very adept at manipulating people and can be perceived as charming but on the inside they feel nothing for people. Facebook is a valuable tool that employers and nosey, creepy fukking people love to use to spy on others. This bullshyt study is just propoganda... nothing beats going out and meeting people, looking someone in their eyes and seeing who they really are in person. Most people on your friends list are family, strangers and people you trying to fck/creep with. If I could prove I didn't get a qualified job because I don't have a Facebook page I'd sue the fck out that company.
Its just a new way to discriminate, in my work experience (managerial level) the employees I managed who were heavy facebookers were the ones who spent more company time checking their page and frequenting message boards than doing their fukking jobs, lol. Didn't have too many problems with dudes except guys who viewed porn but women especially, the young ones were very unproductive because of social networks and they caused the most strife among coworkers.

This is an older article, but this pretty much gives you the gist of the purposes of these 'services'. They are a covert attempt to get you to comfortably give up your privacy. Google and facebook will track your moves JUST from being logged in even without your permission. I remember reading some article on yahoo once and then just seeing it posted that I read some article on yahoo on my facebook without facebook even notifying me.
Somebody wants to know something about you? Just go to our friends at twitter or facebook for a very comprehensive history of everything you've been deciding to do while on those networks and even while off of those networks. They are archiving everything. Be careful about what you post on those services.
