Meh, doesn't bother me that much, I don't mind integration, but to a point. Google is the larger factor here, that's who I'm more worried about.

Facebook and Twitter are the new AOL Keywords, most any company had those back in the day as well. I think something else will come along eventually.

Had one years ago, got rid of it.
Their privacy policy was a big reason and I didn't feel like maintaining it anyway.


However the false name argument was completely stupid. Facebook hands out birth certificates or something?


And I don't trust Zuckerberg and I don't trust his company. Especially when sharing as much as possible is the ideal and you start seeing sides of people you never wanted or needed to see.

Even the damn porn sites have Facebook/Twitter share buttons

i think this is an american phenomenon. in this country you are expected to be an over-confident extrovert and nothing short of that. i think in places like the middle east or some parts of asia and africa you are expected to show restraint, dignity, and loyalty to family and god more than anything. here its more important to constantly show off where you go on vacation, what new shoes you have just bought, how much you hate or love some kind of contemporary sports controversy, how much you love your pets, how many expensive and exotic meals you eat...

if you cant do these things then youre basically irrelevant, honestly. you're probably something even worse: a psychopath or some kind unemployable monster, and nobody should go out with you too.

thats just the american value system at work. its not facebook deciding this: its us. we are the problem.

ehhh it's kind of a decent point, but it's pretty broad, it's actually pretty fukking stupid. I don't have a facebook, any social networking, it's just not my thing, doesn't fit my personality, I am too neurotic, and it's just so narcissistic, and self involved, to think people are interested how I spend my days, where I eat, where I shop, what kind of shoes I buy, the people that would be interested in those things...know, cuz I talk to them daily/weekly/monthly.

I do lose out on friends/people from the past that I wouldn't be in touch with otherwise, but to me, I can live with not looking up women I liked in 7th grade or some shyt, snooping in others peoples lives is fascinating, (to a point) but also unhealthy. My friend is a straight facebook stalker, thumbing through peoples entire lives in a few minutes.

If you aren't using it because of some silly reason, yet you use any other kind of network connectivity, you're hustling backwards.

You got checkmated as well as soon as you began to dislike social network for the reasons listed. YOU'RE ON A SOCIAL NETWORK RIGHT NOW. Nothing you have said checkmates me.
