JID

And that's just up and coming.

Not to mention the production teams and other artists adjacent to hip-hop like Summer Walker and Lil Nas X. Add in the established acts and Atlanta's sound and influence still the largest of any city easily IMO.
Bolded artist aren’t up and coming though I’m talking about artists that are bubbling or making noise.

I fukk with Nudy but I don’t see him getting any bigger than he already is

Never really heard and JID music but I don’t hear people talking about him more than Sada Baby, FMB DZ, Drego & Beno, etc

Lil Nas X don’t even sound like an Atlanta artist

Neither of the Detroit or Brooklyn guys have move any major units like the guys from atl u name
Thats true but that’s why I’m saying they’re hot in the streets, when I’m around younger relatives or kicking it with my young goons they either bumping established artists or they’re listening to Detroit rap

I’m starting to see more people fukking with Pop Smoke too

Then you got Drake talking about working with Fivio Foreign that’s gonna be a huge look for that scene

Artists from both of these scenes are getting millions of views on YouTube and they don’t have deals or anything so it’s obvious that people are in the loop

That Detroit scam rap y'all sleeping on it I don't know if it will be mainstream but kids in the Midwest and rust belt cities are tuned in to that TeeJayx6, Sada Baby, BandGang.
This dudes are out of the loop breh, those artists are getting millions of views with no promotion, Sada Baby is literally one opportunity away from blowing up

Sada Baby is a star, I dont understand how he not on that next level. He too raw/uncontrollable for the industry or something :patrice:

He was under Tee Grizzley up until recently I think...saw some interview where he was saying Tee was holding him back or some shyt...he's the only person being named in this thread I'm seeing buzzing like that...none of that "Brooklyn drill" shyt is moving out here on a street level...probably wont be a factor till the big label push starts

Pop and Fivio got more views than him. Brooklyn drill scene got a lot of artists and it’s fanbase stretches to London. I would say this wave is bigger. Also Pop and Fivi are both signed now and got major co-signs from Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Drake.

Sada Baby Spotify numbers are nowhere near them. His biggest market Chicago and Pop get 5x as many listens there than he does.

I don’t know why but the street Detroit street artists don’t really pop outside of Tee and he fizzled out. The three biggest rappers out there last 10 years is Big Sean, Eminem, Danny Brown.

Brooklyn Drill seems more like a flavor of the month rather than a "movement".
