Roddy Rich is the hottest rapper out right now but there is nothing “west coast” about his music I don’t even think he says Anything about LA or Cali on his album.

You nikkas need to remember that some people are more known around where they're from. People from around Ohio might've heard about Sada and other Detroit nikkas because it's all midwest, same as Chicago, but they might not be that popular outside of our area.
Two, having one video years ago or a year ago with hella views but struggling to get even a million now shows that the initial hype from the person has leveled off. All the new people that wanted to check them out have already done that and they haven't gotten them back or found more new people. Maybe spotify & Apple music stream numbers would be a better metric than YouTube views because you'd at least need to sign up to listen, so you at least know who really fukks with your music and didn't just randomly click on it.

Bro Sada dropped videos like 5 months ago with like 13 million views lol, there is still hype. He isn't some big artist, but he's big enough in the street rap world, and has songs with Yatchy, Tee, Blocboy, Pablo Juan etc. You can fake streams like French, and just have a song on repeat from your playlist so really Spotify, and Apple music isn't a better metric.
The west been winning for a minute and probably will again this year since tde should release at least four projects

Nudy never gonna be next up lmao his music too niche, he be talking shyt and laughing midway thru tracks for like half his catalogue. He still one of my favsBaby, Gunna, Carti not up and coming they established.
Keed, Gotit, Nudy was supposed to be up next. Keed and Gotit was too much like Thug clones but they still got a chance. Nudy dropped the ball with that Kid Cudi/Pissy Pamper record that was a bomb he couldn't get it cleared.
I don't see that Kendrick clone J.I.D. doing much.
Last year? JiD, EARTHGANG, and Lil Nas X were the breakouts. Nudy got some shine and exposure last year but we'll see how he parlays it into anything major. 2chains keeps trying to push Schooly but nobody wants that shyt, and he needs to let it go and let god.
