So what are your critiques because mine are the production values are really crap and the wrestlers pushed as "top card" are really lower tier that WWE wouldn't even push on a house show.
Just being good athletes doesn't make them actually entertaining to watch. If all you wanna see is flippy floppy flabby wrestlers do moonsaults for a simple pin then that's what you'll get if you don't speak out forcing them to do better.
WWE is the best of the worst and who is gonna start watching TNA in 2020 -- they're not even in the conversation. Nobody is gonna take the time to watch WWE, NJPW, TNA and AEW.
I've got better things to do than watch bad wrestling from all of those promotions that don't even entertain the people live in the audience. Those live crowds are dead. They play fake fan cheering during the actual live TV broadcast and that was before the pandemic.
AEW is 205 Live status.

Most of everybody that made the jump from wwe to aew is in the same position on the card doing basically the same gimmick.
I haven't watched enough to know this particular wrestlers position on the card but where does AEDoublePoo have Dean Ambrose?

I liked AEW for a good couple months. Kinda lost interest at some point tho. Haven’t watched in a solid like 8 months

Right where he should be.
I didn't like seeing him a few years ago so visibly unhappy on TV with WWE's creative direction on his gimmick. He clearly didn't like whateva he was doing any time he was on screen. Still did his thing though.
I hope he's working with new talent and not some WWE bum reject like Stardust.

thats not possible when AEW already has a grip of better big men than him.
i thnk theyre trying to give him a slow-burn push and pad his record, instead of feeding him to moxley or cody out the gate. they couldve gave him something better than what hes doing tho. LOL.

AEW's roster is STACKED with guys who were already big names in wrestling before AEW started.
this is what im talking about when i say that most of these criticisms arent valid.
they dont just have high-flyers. they have brawlers, they have old school types, smash-mouth wrestlers, etc.
what crowds are dead?? AEW crowds were lit.
show is dope, but i wouldnt recommend it to casuals or someone who looks at the '90s side of the attitude era as some sort of golden grail. no offense.

Mountain Dew sense of humorKenny made NJPW cool and it was crossing over. Random ass people who never watched wrestling were watching again.
I blame Cody and the Bucks and their corny white trash Mountain Dew sense of humor for making AEW wack. shyt. just look at how wack the story between Cody, Kenny and Ibushi was at the end of their NJPW run. It made no sense and the only cool thing that came out of it was Golden Lovers reuniting.
And those bums were mad because NJPW wouldnt hand them the book.
But leave Cody out of it. He's the only one who's had some good storylines in AEW, but yes the others are fukking nerds
I think it was intended to be cool actually. One reason I think this is because of a moxley interview I heard on LeBatard. He was basically calling wwe corny and cheesy in contrast to AEW
Cool is very subjective though and it's hard to nail down "cool" especially because that is something that is constantly changing. I dont really think them trying to always be cool would be a good thing either because them hopping on new trends non stop would likely seem forced
With that said I haven't been watching as much recently but its moreso due to being busier and sports being back rather than disinterest in the product. With NBA done I'll be watching more again
I agree with those in here that find the bucks to be wack. They are popular though so they have a role in the organization. I think everyone but cody made a distinct effort to not book themselves at the top of the card as a solid to the rest of the roster. Give the others a chance to get over and earn a spot higher up on the card. In general, I think that most other wrestlers have acquitted themselves pretty well.
Also, I think we have to give them a pass during covid. Who knows which wrestlers are unwilling to participate due to safety concerns or travel issues.
