i actually really enjoy AEW right now. most of the roster is people i absolutely HATED a few years ago. but they've sold me on people i never thought i'd like, such as Darby Allin, Ricky Starks, shyt they even got me liking Tazz more than usual because he's been killing it as a heel commentator/manager. one of my main issues with AEW right now is they book all of their heels to lose when it matters most. heels always coming up short there.

watching WWE right now is liking singing along with kids song with the ball bouncing at the bottom of the screen :pachaha:
WWE is very-very-very! bad television.:mjlol:

I can't just tune in for one or two acts I need the entire show to captivate me.

WWE needs to drop the 'E' from their brand name because it's anything but.:scust:

what does "cool" mean to you? If you mean are younger people watching.. that's the accepted definition of what's "cool" to you? AEW does very well in this demographic.

If I had to say these wresters look and present themselves as people who I'd maybe chill with then there's probably more in WWE like Tez, MVP, Naomi, Sasha, Roman, Usos.. but most of the time they aren't being used well.

I like Santana/Ortiz, Lucha Bros., they got a lot of talent in AEW too that seem like they should be able to sell toys to kids. Darby should be able to sell toys.

I just don't know what you mean by "cool" when it comes to this show..
Like, the fact that it's on air means people (of any demographic) like it. What else would "cool" mean in the way I phrased it?:what:

I feel like they're missing something. The production values are not good -- looking like freeview cable access TV. Really cheap.

Everyone looks like a low teir WWE mid-card performer.

Very seaside resort bingo-hall-ish to me.:hubie:

Wrestling in general has only been “cool” for about 4 years or so at the height of NWO, SCSA, and DX. Otherwise it’s always been pretty lame :mjlol:

And I say this as a real wrestling fan :manny: it’s ok to admit it’s lame

It’s bad. I stopped watching only a few weeks in. I check clips and tweets and honestly I’d watch WWE (which sucks too) over AEW.

I tuned into the PPV where a super :flabbynsick: Chris Jericho was wrestling a jobber in a match where you had to get thrown into a huge mimosa tub to lose. Also saw the terrible debut of Rusev :russ: they handled that in true late WCW/early TNA fashion. Killed any hype dude had. The botches are the most entertaining thing they have going for them.

Basically what AEW confirmed to me is the marks who claim Vince is holding them down and they could do so much better with more freedom are full of shyt.
Wait, so you mean like the womens alcohol drink? Can you find a link, I've gotta see that.:dead:

I can see the clear difference in promos. AEW promos are typically way better than WWE because they aren't scripted and recited line for line with the use of frequent buzzwords.

So in that respect, Vince is holding everyone back.

I haven't watched it in months but i looked at their last ppv card and I see Omega is still doing tag team matches :gucci::mjlol:

Man, they dropped the ball so bad on him. I honestly think he'd be thriving more in WWE if he made the move.

Come back home to Japan, Kenny

the real question is if WWE is entertaining to you right now?

if THAT is cool then do you breh :manny:

if you think that shyt is trash too then you see where we are all right now :pachaha:

none of this shyt is cool, but AEW is giving us some elements of wrestling that WWE refuses to give. is it full of genre-bending stars? nope, but ive def seen people who seemed like jobbers actually build up to decent names in the last year. it's a fun alternative, but it's not the end all be all WWE killer like some people pretend.
Breh the tribal chief rules all of professional wrestling

It's Sunday night, I'm all by myself with no friends around... and I just watched an 18 minute match with a 50+ year old man being thrown into a tub of mimosa.

In the case of people like Matt Cardona who clearly will forever be a mid card talent you're right but FTR put up with so much shyt after their NXT run. It was as simple as them wanting to do what they did during their NXT run and be a throwback dominant heel tag team, Vince wouldn't let em do that because he doesn't really value the tag division, so they decided to go to AEW to have more freedom in a tag division that's taken more seriously, what's the crime in that? :manny:

Initially I tried to root for it because I saw hope in it and was trying to steer away from the blatant bigotry and control of WWE but I can't help but overlook that there's no real black talent or talent in general that's there full time. I also feel weird watching guys wrestle that are in way less shape than me. Guys like Eddie Kingston, Moxley, young bucks I mean. I still watch it with but it's a choir. I like Britt Baker and Brody on the full time roster but that's about it since Omega, PAC and Page are hardly there.
