Why do people act like its the end of the world after somebody loses one match?

Don't you know? People hate "Superman pushes" unless it's the people they like, then they're supposed to have an undefeated streak and never lose shyt, because if they lose, it'll ruin their career forever... even though all the guys with the "Superman pushes" have lost matches before... :mjlol:

This thread is interesting...

Because it's an AEW thread but almost every post in here has some form of mention/comparison to WWE...

...if this shyt was really dope, there'd be no need to compare it to anything.

:francis:I said this before but here it goes..

If AEW actually used what made then worth checking out during "All In", it would be a wrap:wow:. The problem that lies with AEW is the following:

  • Cody's ego
  • WCW necrophilia
  • A struggle women's division
  • Storylines that are all over the place
  • Backtrailing on their original ideas (w/l counts, not going to be like the WWE, etc)
All and all, its like a weird parody of Indy wrestling, instead of a legitimate company. You have dudes like Brian Cage underperforming on AEW Dark, while meme wrestlers like Orange Cassidy going for the strap.

You have Brodie Lee losing in the WOAT way to Cody Hearse Rhodes.

You got Lucha Brehs looking struggle despite Pentagon being the MVP in 2018.

It's like the complete opposite of what IMPACT does with their wrestlers. Like how you have a "stacked" roster of wrestlers from all over the indies and make them look like Best Buy reps, but a promotion that's sadly on the back burner despite putting on better shows treating their wrestlers with the upmost respect.

You got Kylie Rae being like :camby:at getting signed with AEW and fukking EC3 being like :francis:at going over there. That's a legit problem, when those two would rather go to a low budget promotion trying to get back to its hey day, over a promotion that has national broadcasting.

Worst of all, the fans...holy mother of fukk the fans of AEW is WOAT tier :mindblown:. Like these dudes would quick to call nay sayers WWE shills because of the obvious critiques. Then there's the excuse of "you not watching it deeply" and "you are not understanding it". Along with my favorite "its the pandemic" and "give it some time".

Breh:wtf:, AEW got a damn watch and a clock, yet still failing to make things happen within a hour:why:

Who actually does the booking for AEW? Is it Tony Khan and the various EVPs book their own shyt? Does Excalibur help with booking because most AEW shows have felt like big budget PWG shows where storylines are heavily, heavily secondary to whatever cool shyt can go down in the ring. I know Brandi does the women's division with Kenny focusing on the joshi women, but that's been a disaster from day one. Jericho tries to take credit for everything but I don't believe him to be one of the bookers.

It definitely does not feel like there is a unified voice or vision to AEW, really seems like all the divisions are done by different people with different booking philosophies and even what they want the in ring work to reflect.

I’ve heard Alvarez a couple times say Tony Khan writes the shows in about 15 minutes.
