Is AEW Supposed To Be Cool?

I don't know about AEW being "cool" whatever the fukk that means but this past year of Dynamite is the most I've enjoyed a 2 hour weekly wrestling program in a long time. I actually look for forward to watching rather watching out of sheer habit/ritual.

It's not perfect and they aren't reinventing the wheel but its good overall.

Is it the new wave? Think WCW in the mid 90s or TNA for a hot second in the mid 00s. AEW built themselves up like we was gonna get prime '98 WCW but all we got was a TNA colour pallette swap.

I'm unbiased in my observation because if you'd read the comments beforehand in this thread you wouldn't have made that post of yours.

I do think AEW has promise but like @Max. said, "AEW Stinks" right now.

Kenny made NJPW cool and it was crossing over. Random ass people who never watched wrestling were watching again.

I blame Cody and the Bucks and their corny white trash Mountain Dew sense of humor for making AEW wack. shyt. just look at how wack the story between Cody, Kenny and Ibushi was at the end of their NJPW run. It made no sense and the only cool thing that came out of it was Golden Lovers reuniting.

And those bums were mad because NJPW wouldnt hand them the book.

I tuned into the PPV where a super Chris Jericho was wrestling a jobber in a match where you had to get thrown into a huge mimosa tub to lose. Also saw the terrible debut of Rusev they handled that in true late WCW/early TNA fashion. Killed any hype dude had. The botches are the most entertaining thing they have going for them.

Basically what AEW confirmed to me is the marks who claim Vince is holding them down and they could do so much better with more freedom are full of shyt.

rusev is really not all that. i dont know why people expect ex-WWE guys to get these elaborate rollouts whenever they go another promotion. but when bigger stars jump to the WWE, and the WWE drops the ball, nobody ever says anything. that chit needs to

I don't know that it is supposed to be cool or that's something they really focus on. Their whole identity seems to be "Gosh isn't it awesome that we're on TNT and not WWE" and that's as far as they take it.
