Is AEW Supposed To Be Cool?

It’s bad. I stopped watching only a few weeks in. I check clips and tweets and honestly I’d watch WWE (which sucks too) over AEW.

I tuned into the PPV where a super Chris Jericho was wrestling a jobber in a match where you had to get thrown into a huge mimosa tub to lose. Also saw the terrible debut of Rusev they handled that in true late WCW/early TNA fashion. Killed any hype dude had. The botches are the most entertaining thing they have going for them.

Basically what AEW confirmed to me is the marks who claim Vince is holding them down and they could do so much better with more freedom are full of shyt.

Jericho still looking fat? Damn.

Everything could have always been better, you just remember the highlights.

But anyway
I still usually have fun tuning in to Dynamite or NXT from time to time whereas RAW usually just makes me feel like I wasted 3 hours for no reason.

That being said, I have not tuned in to RAW this year cause it was so bad last year.

Alvarez was reading mailbag questions and one of the marks wrote in asking if he thought aew should add more writers to creative to make the shows more well rounded and Alvarez said hell no the last thing aew needs is more writers like wwe, Tony Khan writes dynamite shows in 15 minutes and they’re great, no need to add more writers everything is fine.

This is basically how I feel about this whole thread. The whole 'the product sucks these days' talking point has been around on the internet for the 20 years I've been on these kind of sites. Whether its WCW, ECW, TNA etc the talking points are the same, regardless of the company, year or product. So its obviously not the shows.

RAW has actually been alright for a minute now.
3 hours is still too long tho. its best if you DVR it, and fast forward thru the filler.

but yea, theres people who complain about every promotion now. theyre clearly just not into wrestling anymore. its not the product. its them.
