you mean to tell me no black people could own this business?
man...
Black people are having their own "culture" sold back to them

Rich brothers (and sisters) distance themselves from their humble beginnings and disassociate themselves from the poor black people they grew up with by spending their money ob white brands (from Gucci clothes) to on renting cars from white people. With our sisters you see it a lot even when their finances ain’t right (always picking Asian beauty salons over black owned salons..)
All the black power and black unity talk on earth is absolutely USELESS when the end-goal is to get approval from white people by buying exclusively white and giving money exclusively to white people.
I get that you want to stunt in Gucci. But realize also why you prefer Gucci over Karl Kani. Sure the price point makes it a luxury item: but when you prefer a Gucci t-shirt over a black brand t-shirt - ask why? Because it creates a distance between you as a black man and those ‘other black people’.
It’s one part fashion, but really: it’s also one part trying to buy off internalized racism.
White people have sold us that we are worth less than them and continue to do so day in day out. That seeps into black minds.
We are the only people who make less money off our own culture than outsiders. White people own the art world: no black people are making more money off art than white people.
We allow this because we have low self-esteem as a result of white supremacy.
