People just couldn't stay they asses in the house for a few weeks now the whole summer probably cancelled :snoop:.

The government found all that money to throw to corporations but won't do a few more stimulus checks for people struggling, America :snoop:.
The whole year is cancelled fam.

And this isnt just red states or blue states this is everywhere in America....

Then again I blame alot of people at the top for offering conflicting information that made people not take this seriously to begin with.

An actual lockdown back in March would've killed this shyt in the US back in April

Instead we get a half-assed stay-at-home order and phased re-openings to pander to the moron cacs laying siege to government buildings around the country

You get the virus, go through the motions then it's gone.

Tell that to the 110k+ people who have died of it here I guess...

If you're elderly or have preexisting medical conditions, stay home as much as you can.

This is silly MAGA nonsense talk. Do you know how many people have "preexisting conditions"? Do you even know what all of them are???

And staying home "as much as you can" does not protect you from contracting the virus when/if you share a home with younger or more careless relatives who don't take the virus seriously whatsoever.

At some point it is what it is, life isn't worth living like a scaredy cat.

Lmao "scaredy cat". Most people SHOULD fear premature death you fukking dummy. And life isn't worth much if you're dead either so what's your point?

Y'all nikkas just love talking shyt and wishing bad about the South. It wasn't that rat infested tenement state NY that was brought to its knees?
The truth hurts but in reality there was no lies told as cases have been rising throughout the southern territory within the past days/weeks...half the posters who dapped me are from the south so that should tell you something. Facts are facts.

Southern governors rushed to reopen due to financial reasons and now look at you...NYS throughout all this was never financially suffering...shyt we actually are the only state in America that gives the most money to the federal government which went towards helping your ass (state) recover...don't bite the hand that feeds you, nikka (lol).

NYC/State is already back on it's feet with record low cases throughout with businesses and everything reopening slowly but swiftly...

So who really won here ?

Shutting down would have worse implications than a 2nd wave. I understand people will die, but it is far below 1% of the population. It's a very low chance of death statistically. And it's mainly people that are 60 plus in nursing homes. Versus a shutdown and having companies go out of business, mass unemployment (again), foreclosures sweeping the nation (x2) and people defaulting on loans jacking up their credit twofold. The latter is MUCH worse, it affects way more people.

Andrew Cuomo’s big lie on nursing homes and The Post
By Post Editorial Board

AP
Gov. Andrew Cuomo keeps trying to dodge the blame for Health Commissioner Howard Zucker’s deadly nursing-home order by pretending that The Post has created a phony scandal for purely partisan reasons. It’s a big, fat lie — and easily disproven.

At least three times in the last month, he’s pushed his “it’s just all politics, and it’s frankly The New York Post” line, claiming it’s a vendetta by columnists Michael Goodwin and Bob McManus.

Huh. Then why have The Associated Press and Politico reported the same basic facts? Why has PolitiFact (run by the nonprofit Poynter Institute) debunked his claims?

The central issue is Zucker’s March 25 order telling New York nursing homes to admit patients from hospitals without regard to their COVID-19 status — indeed, without testing. That mandate clearly led to thousands of coronavirus fatalities in the state.

This is what politics look like.. The blame game is what keep citizens blinded.

The seniors should've been protected.. PERIOD!!

Seniors in nursing homes account for 40% of the covid-19 deaths in america.

People :damn: at the numbers..

But when you crunch them a little, and see exactly who's being impacted, then everyone is :unimpressed:..

What about it? The man did what he could do...it's inevitable what happened to those nursing home patients. If it didn't happen the way it happened...it still would've happened another way. Elderly people were bound to be hit hard regardless.

The governor should of set up a special team that was appointed to senior homes. Every governor nationwide should've done this..

You cant have common people in and out of these places, taking care of the seniors..

And you know it can be done because the NFL said its players must be in a "bubble" in order for the season to begin..

If keeping the death toll down was so important, every governor in each state would've done better with these nursing homes.

Column: Already devastated by the coronavirus, seniors stand to lose again in Newsom’s budget

SACRAMENTO —
Do you kick impoverished old people in the shins now or wait until the feds can join in?

Or maybe Washington will protect the seniors by sending Sacramento billions more to fund their critical services. It’s unlikely but possible.

Or perhaps legislators and the governor will agree to ease up on seniors and pick on something else — such as good government.

These are the options the Legislature and Gov. Gavin Newsom have been arguing over in their efforts to negotiate agreement on a new pandemic-pummeled state budget.

Lawmakers must pass a budget by midnight Monday or lose their pay for every day it’s delayed. So they’ll pass something.

But in violation of the deadline spirit — if not letter of the law — their product won’t be a complete budget. It will contain huge holes to be filled later by what’s being called “Budget Junior.” Junior presumably will be negotiated and passed before the new fiscal year begins July 1. Or in late summer. Who knows?

So Monday’s budget will mainly be a stopgap salary-saver. In coming days, there’ll also be budget “trailer bills” that will follow with details.

It’s ironic: COVID-19 hit vulnerable seniors the hardest. To control the coronavirus spread, Newsom and other state governors crippled the economy. Inevitably, this greatly diminished tax revenues that fund programs for needy seniors. Now, seniors are hammered not only by the virus but also by the potential loss of crucial government services.

:ohhh: WTF is this..

In California, the Governor is cutting the budget to the seniors.. The most vulnerable to the virus that everyone is supposedly concerned about..

And im posting articles that are no more than a day old..

So from coast to coast, local officials are fcking over seniors..

Where's the outrage?

INDIANAPOLIS — The state’s weekly update of pandemic deaths at the state’s nursing homes, released each Monday, shows that deaths at those facilities increased from 148 to 732 in a week.

That number now accounts for more than 41 percent of Indiana’s toll from both confirmed and presumed COVID-19 deaths. :mjpls:

Fourteen more Indiana residents have died from coronavirus illnesses, state health officials said Monday.
