The New York heads from the 80's will tell you how they used to go to the club for the hip-hop set and then stay for the house set afterwards.Facts. Some Hip Hop heads usually don't wanna hear it and act all stubborn but House and Hip Hop are pretty much cousins. They both have strong roots in Disco, Funk, R&B, and Electro.
Lmaoooo seems like hella rappers back in the early 90's were hatin' on not just New Jack Swing but House music too
Jazz is from New Orleans.OP on some foolishness, Black music is black music. I'm not from DC why should I care about Go-Go. I'm not from Chicago, why should I care about trap? I'm not from NYC why should I care about Jazz. It's just a dumb ass statement.
Also, Folks gotta stop talking about gay folks as if BLACK gay folks aren't still Black. House was SPECIFICALLY created through black/brown gay clubs. Them being gay didn't all of a sudden removement from black culture.

I'd like to explore old school house music, just don't know where to start. The only house songs I know are Baby Likes to Ride and I'll House You by the JBs which is a personal fav.
No other music besides New Orleans Bounce and Miami Bass gets people moving like House.
