I got 3 kids brah. My daughter can shoot and when my twins get older they will shoot. I don't have to sleep with it but I do. I also don't have to go anywhere with it ...but I do...legally. I'm surgical with all my guns folk. What I shoot at I'm hitting...same with wifey. She got a revolver that stays In her purse and I make sure she can use it

My homie had a home invasion but he had a gun (forget the caliber) with rubber bullets. Dude tried to run away and he put a couple in his back (which was illegal to do in that state but he lied about it).

Didn't kill him but it put him down

For women I'd go revolver. 380 to be exact. Take her to the range and practice with it for close quarters

FL is extremely lax when it comes to guns in my understanding.

Then you can just transfer to another state I think. I'm pretty new to the civilian gun regulations BUT i've heard similar from my homies in Miami.

But I think you don't need anything in GA in regards to assault rifles and shotguns, which is why I planned on getting the shotty next. Didn't feel like going through the paperwork for a 9mm or anything that can be concealed
