Hannibals ratings and the amount of people giving up on the show suggest the contrary to what you're preaching. The season threads on here are doing animal ambition numbers.

So nah, it's not just me.

Hannibal's finale is up from last year's and is doing better numbers than Mad Men's :flabbynsick: numbers and was every bit as acclaimed if not more :umad:

And thecoli stans trash ass Ray Donovan and Tyrant so page views mean nothing to me :manny: It seems like your attacking the fans for loving it instead of attacking the show, and that's my main gripe with your line of reasoning.

I do love me some Ray Donovan but it's not anywhere near Hannibal. Donovan is more of a guilty pleasure with me

Hannibal is not even on the same planet as mad men in critical acclaim. You wanna compare hannibals emmys that don't exist to the plethora mad men has.? Every season of mad men has a higher metacritic as well in conparison.

As far as attacking the fans I'd say I'm just providing a more realistic opinion to people. Judging from the replies on here I'm not the only one feeling this way. I'm providing a juxtaposition to the best show on tv claims.

People that go into this show with lesser expectations will get a lot more out of the show. I came into the show wanting to be floored by it. It's just not that good.

Also people keep bringing up critics, well season1 has a metacritic score of only 69%. Season two has 88%. That doesn't like the critical darling people are trying to pin it as.

88 is 12 from a perfect score breh.

That's Rec Room logic. This game got an 88%, it's average. :what:

And it has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with an average viewer score of 97%. 4.5 Stars on IMDB, etc.

And ratings for this show are meaningless, it's a bad fit for NBC. Cable and Amazon, Netflix, etc. wanted to pick it up if NBC passed on season 3. I get that you don't like it but it's one of the most sought after shows on TV.

And I don't think dude was comparing the critical acclaim to "Mad Men", you were arguing ratings for whatever reason, and "Mad Men" is a show hardly anybody watches, despite it's quality. So ultimately ratings are pointless.

So The Wire isn't the GOAT show because it has no emmys :ohhh:? The emmys, like most award ceremonies rarely get it right. Mostly due to the fact that they(the committee) don't even watch most of the shows that get submitted, just the episode that's up for submission. And If I recall, an 88 is higher than an 85 :troll: I've already addressed Mad Men's disappointing ratings. AMC really thought Mad Men was gonna be the pop culture phenomenon on the level of Breaking Bad and Walking Dead.:mjlol:

For the record the only "Mad Men" season with a higher than 88% score is #4. So yeah....this show gets the same critical acclaim as "Mad Men" on Metacritic. It has a higher user score than any season of "Mad Men" too.

If you're into that sort of thing. :yeshrug:

As far as the Emmys I would like to point out they gave "Lost" an Emmy over "The Wire", which was never even nominated. Not once. So I'm not a huge fan of the Emmys, regardless of this conversation.

WGA, SAG, DGA, awards like that have a bit more credibility.

See now you're just using complete hyperbole.

69% is average.

One of the most sought after the shows? Lol what does that even mean. The killing got picked up after being cancelled too, that means nothing.

He said it received just as much critical acclaim if not more than mad men in plain text.

And it does, using Metacritic....which you brought into the conversation.

It's never received a score as low as 69%, its got a season at 92% and two seasons at 88%. So if you average out the scores its well above hannibal.

Hannibal also has a 0% chance of keeping up with mad mens consistant high acclaim.
So no, they arent getting the same.
