I feel you on that. I still think it would hurt more than it would help but I don't think it's an extreme position to take. Again the danger I think is not only the hit you'll take with hispanics (which will really be felt in places like Nevada), but also youth (yes they are unreliable, but the ones that DO come out overwhelmingly vote Dem) and even other voters for whom the contrast between Dem "compassion" and GOP "hostility" to illegals is a political driver.

Also I don't know that the increase in white voters will be sufficient to make up for the loss with hispanics. The day after comprehensive immigration reform is passed, you no longer have a stranglehold on those fickle voters but you may have lost an entire generation of hispanics.

Those same people are now not voting simply because they see that agenda.

I don't know what the party is going to do to combat this, I bet an up or down poll would show at least a plurality would want mass deportations. And about 10 years ago a poll came out saying people think only 65% of Americans think Muslims are loyal to the flag etc. Dems are between a rock and a hard place here.

SMH. I keep saying this and I will continue to say this but we would not be having this discussion if 100K people across 4 states voted differently or if turnout had been more successful.

Instead of hiring high priced consultants whose advice is no better than what you would get from an online forum, use that money to pay an army of people to do nothing but literally take people to the polls. Have election day parties (with food/drinks/entertainment) where all the people in a given neighborhood congregate in one place for food/entertainment and have a mfer with a minivan taking people to the polls and bringing people back.

I know these kinds of things probably already happen, but it needs to be a much larger percentage of the overall budget. Think about how many people from our generation would be willing to go to a block party with promise of food/drinks/entertainment and all they have to do in return is vote.

Wait, the last two democratic presidents were centrist. Hillary Clinton was a Centrists. The coli told me that ya'll don't want centrists. Ya'll want progressives....
