Lets slow down.So you think the Dems best chance at victory is to push (even if only implicitly) white identity?
You smoking rock breh?
If you are talkin about Argentina, Spain, Paraguay maybe. Hispanics that look white are mostly under the impression that that is how American Whites view them and they are wrong. They are not white in their eyes. I don't care about how they see it. They like the vast of majority of people are caught up in White Supremacy which explains their backwards thinking anywayYeah but Hispanics of non black ancestry don't have a heavy history of being discriminated against in America. Hispanic wasn't even a recognized category until the 1970s. So white Hispanics were basically absorbed into the white community prior to 1970.
Talk to some Old white people from the south. They will tell there were all kinds of immigrant white/whitish people from Latin America in their schools and universities.
They were not in the colored schools.
Talk to your black elders. These people were considered white immigrants.
I don't have time to explain the history right now but just read this book. Its written by a Mexican American author. If you are talkin about Argentina, Spain, Paraguay maybe. As much as the republican base hates black people, at least black people are christians.
I think the biggest L Democrats got was depending on the Hispanic vote thinking demographic changes would flip Texas,Georgia and Florida blue. Hispanics are conservative and see themselves as whites since they look down on blacks. That was a major miscalculation. Dems has to face the fact that vast majority of white people are conservatives or leaning conservative.
Thing is Nap liberal economic policies are more popular than Republicans. Dems should run with a liberal economic platform for the middle class.
FACTSi dont think muslims are a real issue, its a side issue. i think democrats pushing immigration legal and illegal and pushing bilingualism is the real issue, the shyt has to stop
its triggering white people and black people dont care about those issues and/or agree with white people about it
latinos are not going to save the democrats, thats the biggest lie democrats have been telling themselves
Lets slow down.
Heres the facts on the ground:
1. The GOP is almost exclusively a white identity party right now. Clearly and emboldened even more so.
Agree.
2. I don't know how to fix gerrymandering.
Somewhat agree - there is little you can do in the short term. Long term solution is to win elections.
3. Socialists get no spin
Yes, there definitely is a negative connotation but unrelated as no one is suggesting rebranding as the Socialist Party.
4. Liberals already don't vote. You'd be gambling trying to go even further left.
Agree with first part, which is why I continue to push massive investment in turnout rather than overpriced consultants (many of whom you're paying to raise more money), buying ads in states you don't need etc. Not sure what you mean by going further left - the policies I'm discussing are standard Dem. My argument is to say tacking further right will be disastrous.
5. Topic that push fence-riders away need to be trashed. Those include illegals.
That depends. Again you need to consider how that will affect your EXISTING BASE. How often do you hear the GOP talk about attracting people on the fence? NEVER. All they do is focus on their base. And even though voters actually prefer Dem policy positions, they are able to continue to win elections.
I think if we had comprehensive immigration reform that a lot of the political vulnerability on the issue would go away. And it would give Dems the freedom to toe a harder line against illegal immigration (and possibly keep some of those voters for whom immigration is a critical issue).

its easy to attract voters when your stance is "fukk you" instead of "lets come together"
They don't want to come together.
I think this illegal immigration stance hurt us more than we'll ever know. So many people got turned off from that.
