houston.
I agree with you but the reality is all you need is a clean face. Certain soaps like dial and zest dry the fukk out of your face so when the hairs try to grow through your dry face it gets irritated and it itches or worse causes bumps because its not coming through the pore but through a scab or a thin layer of skin. This itches and causes bumps then the hair coils up below the surface of the skin and after the irritated sore heals you can usually flake off or scratch off a scab or a piece of dry skin and you have a longer coiled up piece of hair.

The purpose of my post wasn't to discredit yours, like I said I agree. I've been there since I started shaving. Bumping up and scratching, itching. I went through it all, I thought I had bad skin but I've never had acne issues. I knew I had hard water and I know how ashy I used to get when I used Dial on my face and body.

After years of trying different products finally a nikka here put me on to African Soap, I used it (and still do) and my skin is like baby skin.

I have like 6 different razors from cheap bics, to gillete mach 3 to the schtick 5 blade, the vibrator one, one that dispenses lotion etc. Ever since I shaved and used the soap no more bumps, no more itching. I shave my face and neck haven't had an issue since. And I've literally tried like shaving with the grain on my left side and against on the right. Because I know how products work, they may work for a week or a couple months then stop.

This is the soap I (a black man) needs. I like dial, its anti bacterial, I like zest and irish spring (smells good) all these white people bodywashes are cool too but that shyt aint for me. I can't use axe bodywash and shampoo it aint designed for my hair.

Like you I wanna help the nikkas here but instead of buying a myriad of different products just one soap. Its all that's needed.
Where can one purchase that African soap?

You can otder online via amazon or if you have a whole foods I've bought it in town there. Some walgreens, walmart or cvs, even hy-vee (if they have a big organic section) or Sallys Beauty Supply.

Brehs...y'all nikkas got it all wrong. Here's the one thing you need:

bump-stopper-2-double-strength.jpg

It's untouchable. Put it on after you shower before bed, wash your face in the AM and put it on again = NO MORE BUMPS. GUARANTEED.

I've never used the maximum strength but the OG it worked like a charm but it had an odor to it...does this have that smell or have they changed up the formula? Honestly its doing nothin but moisturizing the skin therefore when they hair is growing back the skin aint dry and the hair comes through the skin nice and soft rather than a sharp spear

I've never had a Nestle Cruch face or neck, but every once in a while, I get a bump on opposite sides of my face around the neck/sideburn area, and they take forever to go away. I've had this one bump on my face for like two weeks now. It'll go down, but when I shave again (not even with a razor) it flares back up!

This is all I use from the body shop. I would recommend trying it out after you shave. Smells good , lubricates your skin is not greasy

Any barber worth his salt should be recommending this. shyt is like $20 a bottle but it's worth every penny. Ima be honest, I never have dealt with razor bumps because I always have this on deck

Nah you get it at beauty supply stores. It is very expensive but worth it. It's like an alcohol based product and it's like it burns off the bumps. I found out about it through my barber who used on people with severe razor bumps. He swore by it. When I asked other barbers about it they was like :lawd:. Most opted not to use it because it was so expensive. After that I went and bought some and my face has been smooth like a baby's ass ever since

what's yall suggest for bald heads?

I'm 26 and i've went under the razor 4 times for my head and not ONE time did it end well. I started bumping like CRAZY maybe 5 or some days after getting the razor cut. I had to get some steriod cream to ease the pain :sadbron:
