But what about a shaving routine...you just talking about cleaning your face?

i dont know about a routine. theres no song no dance or big production. just shaving. I usually shave every monday morning and im good for the week.

I shave then shower, then use after shave. i shower every night and put lotion on my face after i wash my face upon waking to the crust out of my eyes.

realistically i wake up late sometimes except for mondays wednesday and sundays. so tuesday thursday friday or saturday i dont always spend 7 minutes soaping and watering my face, i might just take a hot towel to it :manny: it dont matter cause i use the same soap in my shower on my face, so to wash my face twice within 10hrs is redundant but if im wiping my eyes off and such its usually not a huge ordeal to get my entire face and neck.

horrible advice. all our faces are different.

:stopitslime: really dog we dont have the same faces? obviously not, if your face is greasy as fukk then you dont need 5 different applicants on your face to do various things that one thorough wash can do. and if your face is dry as fukk to the point where you have scars and dark marks again you dont need something thats going to dry your face out.

its not one size fits all. there isnt a product that is so. you'll generally always need a separate aftershave, one that does not contain alcohol. then as far as facial washes and lotions. you should be able to find one soap thats good enough to wash your entire body thats not going to dry you out. and have you itchin or needing lotion.

you dont need a foot soap, ass soap, a face soap and hand soap. granted these products are available, you dont 'need' them though. Oh yea and peoples feet, asses and hands are different too.

As far as face soap you should be able to have a soap that you can wash your face with that if you decide to just chill in the house, 3 hours later your face aint dry lookin like ashy larry needing that lotion like that. if your washing your face and your face is ashy afterward you need a different soap or different technique. like not using scalding hot water and scrubbing for 10 minutes, its should be gentle and warm.

so all in all, a good soap that balances you out if your too greasy or too dry. aftershave and a decent lotion. Honestly i use dove facial lotion.

I had the nestle crunch neck, and the krackle face. ive done the trial and error. like i said all the chemicals and perfumes of zest and dial and shyt is what fukks me up. Ive used bump stopper and various preshaves and aftershaves, special face washes and scrubs, then decided to just use clippers, i still have a tube of aqua shave (the shyt you rub on and scrape off instead of using a razor).

At the end of the day you gotta ask yourself how well do you know yourself and what do you need. Is your face too dry? Is it too greasy? Is your soap irritating your skin? Your shampoo? Maybe your cologne or laundry detergent\dryer sheets :leon:

I've never used the maximum strength but the OG it worked like a charm but it had an odor to it...does this have that smell or have they changed up the formula? Honestly its doing nothin but moisturizing the skin therefore when they hair is growing back the skin aint dry and the hair comes through the skin nice and soft rather than a sharp spear

No smell on this bruh...I've been using this for 3 years now

What do yall use for dark spots on your face?

Is Black Soap good for that? I'm not tryna spend X amount of dollars going to a dermatologist if I can find a natural, cheaper alternative

Why not? I know back in the day when I tried to use axe body wash and zest and shyt my face would be dry and ashy as would the rest of my body.

I used to get blackheads or ingrown hairs on my legs using that regular shyt because I'd be so dry. I switched to what I use now and everything as far as face and body are alright. My baby boo used an apricot scrub for blackheads. It smells dope (make me wanna eat something) but I couldn't advocate using a product like that on myself so the black african soap does the job.

Ok...so theres a couple threads floating about razor bumps...but I feel anytime someone has got something that works for them they need to make a thread because this is a problem for us....

So Im 30 and recently started getting razor bumps bad on my chin line because more and more hair is getting on my face in my middle age.

This is what I been trying for the last 10 days...and I swear I have never felt my face this smooth:

I use this in the shower:

Then I use this...make sure its the one for sensitive skin:

Then I use a mach 3!!!!..Go with the grain
I know, I know, it was my first time ever using a razor.

After that....Hot towel!

Then I use some rubbing alcohol....

Then I use this! Skin tight Extra strength....let it air dry

After that...I use this on my face but no my neck...

On my neck I use this:

I got some of this from a poster in another thread...but added the stuff for me....

this shyt works!

STOP USING RAZOR BLADES AND INVEST IN THIS

People with curly hair are more prone to razor bumps when they use razor blades

The 2's>>>>>>the 1's

:lawd: :ohlawd: :blessed:

This is that shyt. I bought mine in 07 and they still on point (changed blades 3 times so far, doing it again soon). Best $75 I ever spent.

Like I said this is what I do:

1. Dry shave with the andis t outliners, no prepping. combo of with/against grain, and i shave every other day.

2. wash face in shower with clearasil face wash.

3. use bump patrol and nivea aftershave balm (sensitive skin).

thats all i do. if i let my shyt grow too long it'll itch and shyt. in these cases I use a brush to make sure no hair is ingrown and if they are i remove them, and i'll use a hot towel to soften the hair making it easier to cut.

for me moisturizing is key, it keeps the skin from being dry so that when the hair regrows it grows straight out and correctly.

for me, if shyt ever gets or got extreme i'd let my shyt grow for a full month and by then the bumps will have healed and the hair will have grown out straight...i have NEVER had issues with my face, i can do whatever there...but the neck is where i had my issues, i think it started when my dumb ass used a razor when i was 17 ONE time.

One of the primary reasons for excessive razor bumps is dirt and bacteria (so an expert said)
So I bought some shave soap and that's what I shave with now, I can tell a big difference between it and regular shaving cream...

Afterwards I put the tea tree oil on my face...
Seems to be the the trick...

Another note...
Some hair you just are going to have to live with meaning it can't be shaved without bumping when it grows back...

There side areas of my goatee I just can't shave without bumping...
So I learn to rock with that
