It's untouchable. Put it on after you shower before bed, wash your face in the AM and put it on again = NO MORE BUMPS. GUARANTEED.

meh, alot of nikkas hair type just ain't built to deal with razors, I'm one of them. I just stick with the clippers and a good pre-shave lotion to treat my skin/hair before I cut. I've come to terms with the fact that I can never have a razor close, baby face shave so I just deal with it knowing I won't bump out. The pre-shave lotion helps alot tho in getting a smoother, closer shave.

this is exactly how I am, I cant mess with razors at all ill either go to the shop and get a trim or do it myself, my boy only uses rubbing alcohol and water and he never gets razor bumps, I tried that same remedy and damn near my entire neck/face area broke out :mindblown:

I can't vouch for any of those products, but, alcohol is not good for your skin.

EDIT: :scheme: let me do more research

EDIT 2: Magic shave definitely is not woah. I used it for 4 years or so. Darkened my skin. I'm guessin' the long term effect aren't too good, either.

Stop going out of your way for separate soaps and creams, applicants and such.
stop relying on voodoo and wishes, hopes, dreams and testimonies on products that aren't design for you (us, black ppl)

Start using one soap for your face and body that won't dry your skin out leaving you needing mass amounts of lotions or worse drying your skin to the point where you may think you have psoriasis. You can use whatever after shave you want (always use aftershave) but just use one soap and you can cut against the grain, with the grain, across the grain, with an old dirty razor, or a piece of glass..this soap will keep your skin conditioned and the hair will grow the way its supposed to.

You can do this or keep throwing your moneys away buy 4, 5 and 6 different products for a process like shaving that should be really simple

yea a nikka been through it all, stick razors, straight razors, gold foil electric shavers, all kinds of expensive pre and post shave skin creams/lotions/liquids and I bumped out just the same with all of them. Took years off my skin. I remember in college one of my good homies and roommate would just hop out the shower and take a cheap Bic to his face and he got no bumps at all. As long as I stick to my routine of a pharmacy pre shave lotion, clippers, and a thin layer of Bump Patrol afterwards I'm bumpless.

and your comment is childish at best....razor bumps like anything with the face is relative to a certain person's skin type....some people dont have to put shyt on their face at all ..some require other things.....the purpose of the post is to show what I just tried....and just me...it may work for somebody like it is working for me

If you want a close shave, I would suggest ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS take a hot to warm shower before you shave to soften up the hairs on your face. Afterwards, use a pre-shave oil, preferrably one without any alcohols or astringents.

For those of you that want a close shave without the stubble left from Andis T Liners or bumps from Norelco's or Braun's, invest in a one blade safety razor. After showering, use a follicle brush or a soft brush to brush the hairs on your face in the direction that you will shave. Apply the pre-shave oil and then your shaving cream and lather in the direction that you will shave.

Once you are finished shaving, use a warm towel to wipe the excess from your face and ensure that you moisturize you face shortly thereafter with a post shave balm, preferably tea tree oil.

Brothers must remember to use facial washes at least 3 times a week and to shave their face every day, not allowing hairs to coil and become ingrown.

For those of you who want to rid yourself of the dark spots and discoloration that razor bumps may have left behind, I would suggest hitting up living social for one of those skin treatment spots and get a coupon for a microdermabrasion session to open your pores and get the dead layers of skin off.

I agree with you but the reality is all you need is a clean face. Certain soaps like dial and zest dry the fukk out of your face so when the hairs try to grow through your dry face it gets irritated and it itches or worse causes bumps because its not coming through the pore but through a scab or a thin layer of skin. This itches and causes bumps then the hair coils up below the surface of the skin and after the irritated sore heals you can usually flake off or scratch off a scab or a piece of dry skin and you have a longer coiled up piece of hair.

The purpose of my post wasn't to discredit yours, like I said I agree. I've been there since I started shaving. Bumping up and scratching, itching. I went through it all, I thought I had bad skin but I've never had acne issues. I knew I had hard water and I know how ashy I used to get when I used Dial on my face and body.

After years of trying different products finally a nikka here put me on to African Soap, I used it (and still do) and my skin is like baby skin.

I have like 6 different razors from cheap bics, to gillete mach 3 to the schtick 5 blade, the vibrator one, one that dispenses lotion etc. Ever since I shaved and used the soap no more bumps, no more itching. I shave my face and neck haven't had an issue since. And I've literally tried like shaving with the grain on my left side and against on the right. Because I know how products work, they may work for a week or a couple months then stop.

This is the soap I (a black man) needs. I like dial, its anti bacterial, I like zest and irish spring (smells good) all these white people bodywashes are cool too but that shyt aint for me. I can't use axe bodywash and shampoo it aint designed for my hair.

Like you I wanna help the nikkas here but instead of buying a myriad of different products just one soap. Its all that's needed.

Its really very simple, one soap that you can use on your body and face so when you shave you don't get bumps. Its not going to dry out your face, leaving your skin softer and smoother.

Also there aren't deoderants and perfumes in it, its all natural so ppl like me who have allergies don't sneeze all the time, like I said I like old spice, axe, zest, etc but that shyts too much, I be sneezing like 100 times a day even in the shower when I apply it
