If you are black and graduated/attended college, did you attend an HBCU?

I been to Alcorn one time; campus was nice, but yall school is way back in the woods:sadcam:

Black folk sleep on HBCU education because they have that slave mentality. "If I don go to a white man school; then I sa know I'm a smart nikka because that don white man education shows it."

I tried to walk on to grambling. I talked to the the linebacker coach and he asked me where I was from and I said California; then brother was like o ok and then he brushed me off. Later on that's when I found out they don't like west coast or california players. I was mad a fukk and felt played because I knew I was better than the linebackers they had.

I saw on the gram website that they were going to honor hank aaron; I haven been back in a couple of years. I just talk to my professor/mentor who still works there to keep him updated about stuff I'm doing.

Is griff's still out there; I thought about going to homecoming (maybe). Griff's was my spot besides sonic and captain d's.

Griff's still out here and it's still good as fukk

But isn't Southern right there in Baton Rouge tho.

But hell, I can't talk GSU and Louisiana Tech are 5 mi. apart and I went to Tech because registration was easy and I wanted to walk on to a BCS football team.

I thought I could still make it to the league
:lolbron:

You probably coulda balled out at Grambling. Free ride + group economics + getting seen by the same scouts.

I have an esteemed HBCU in my hometown. I have been hanging out there since I was tall enough to pretend to be a college freshman.

If I woulda went to school there I wouldn't have graduated. Too much history and too many wild ass niqqas in my clique. I had to hit the road.

I have second thoughts about it now but when I graduated high school I was dead set on being a Gamecock because my dad played at Carolina. Not that my experience at USC was bad(we had a pretty strong AA community during my years there) I did kinda envy students at State being able to be around black people more.

I will say it got me used to Cacs tho because I went to predominantly black schools from elementary up to high school. College was really my first time being outnumbered in a school setting by white people

ALL of the HBCU graduates I know, I'm doing better financially about to come out of a PWI. When I say better I mean either they are unemployed or don't have FT employment. So many don't finish from an HBCU or finish with EASY degrees (Bus. Admin/Management/Gen. Studies/Interdisciplinary Studies).

Good for you but the study shows otherwise :francis:
