If you are black and graduated/attended college, did you attend an HBCU?

I went to a PHS, predominately hispanic school, and I regret it. I rather an HBCU or a PWI. I considered Howard but price and distance. I heard too much fukkery about FAMU to even consider. Probably would have found a wife up there.

No because Hampton was a private school and didnt have none the programs i wanted at that time. Plus, it wss founded by a wm so whst made it different from a white school with a large black student body?

Having a CAC free experience would have been nice :mjcry:

i thought about it, but 4 year colleges are a damn scam. better nowadays to just get a quick 2 year degree in a booming career field, build up experience while in school with internships, graduate and you'll be straight. I'm in the IT Network Security program myself, plan on getting an internship by June, Certifications and by the time I graduate in 2017 I'll be experienced, educated, and certified if all goes according to plan. :obama:

and best of all I will end up having little or no debt :ahh:

If you plan to stay in security make sure you get your CISSP. shyt will open up all kinds of doors for you :whew:

I went to a PWI but looking back as an adult, I would of preferred going to an HBCU at least for undergrad. Would have probably tried to go to Grambling since that was where my parents went or tried to get in either Morehouse/Howard.

I'm a see if I can find that article I read the other day. Don't sleep on HBCUS education

I been to Alcorn one time; campus was nice, but yall school is way back in the woods:sadcam:

Black folk sleep on HBCU education because they have that slave mentality. "If I don go to a white man school; then I sa know I'm a smart nikka because that don white man education shows it."

But isn't Southern right there in Baton Rouge tho.

But hell, I can't talk GSU and Louisiana Tech are 5 mi. apart and I went to Tech because registration was easy and I wanted to walk on to a BCS football team.

I thought I could still make it to the league
:lolbron:

I tried to walk on to grambling. I talked to the the linebacker coach and he asked me where I was from and I said California; then brother was like o ok and then he brushed me off. Later on that's when I found out they don't like west coast or california players. I was mad a fukk and felt played because I knew I was better than the linebackers they had.
:myman:

Went to graduation yesterday , nikkas gridlocked the road to the assembly center
:sadcam:

shyt felt like homecoming
:mjcry:

Hank Aaron was an honorary graduate
:wow:

I saw on the gram website that they were going to honor hank aaron; I haven been back in a couple of years. I just talk to my professor/mentor who still works there to keep him updated about stuff I'm doing.

Is griff's still out there; I thought about going to homecoming (maybe). Griff's was my spot besides sonic and captain d's.
