I've made this same point on here before and cats dont realize this. Right or wrong, when those companies go to HBCU's they know what they there for, not the minority white, asian, or hispanic student, they looking for Black candidates, they aren't going to the PWI's for you.I went to a HBCU because the cost of tuition for the level of education was a steal . I was an out of state student on scholarships and graduated without debt. The College of Business at my school had a good staff, good reputation, and attracted alot of employers. What people forget is, the same major companies that people claim you need to attend a PWI to work for, aggressively recruit at HBCUs to maintain a diverse workforce. (But they recruit harder at some HBCUs vs others)
AAMU got this L coming for both of yall

you do know the score of the last game right? We also took over yall stadium by having more people there than your home side.
We celebrated becoming rulers of the East on your home turf
Yep. Of course, certain HBCU attract more companies than other....based on reputation and productivity of former students at the respective companies. For example, in college we went to an accounting conference which contained black students from HBCUs and PWIs. We went over various concepts and were interviewed by potential employers. Students from alot of PWIs in attendance were not properly dressed for an interview or prepared tointeract in that environment. . At that point....the name of the school on your resume is irrelevant. I tell people all the time...if you go to an HBCU with a STRONG program in your major (its not about the overall school, just the strength in your major)...you will be just as prepared and competitive as a candidates from the majority of other schools in the nation.

Attended FAMU.
Great business program. Never regretted it.
You obviously don't know many HBCU graduates. And what discipline did you study?ALL of the HBCU graduates I know, I'm doing better financially about to come out of a PWI. When I say better I mean either they are unemployed or don't have FT employment. So many don't finish from an HBCU or finish with EASY degrees (Bus. Admin/Management/Gen. Studies/Interdisciplinary Studies).
