If Dallas wins a title will Kyrie be put on the Mt Rushmore of 1B/Robin players alongside Pippen…..?

LeBron has always needed players like that to be his “help”. Like they have #1 talent but something about them keeps them from leading teams on their own. It’s like someone being a rockstar employee that doesn’t want to go into management. Kyrie is that. AD is that too. A real #2 is Pippen or Gasol. Neither of those two are capable of scoring like that for multiple games.

What about when you go 5-35 in game 7 of the NBA finals against the Celtics?

I literally put this in the Kyrie trade thread on Thursday and nikkas got in they feelings about it:

I'll be back later to elaborate but the idea that Kyrie is in the convo with other All-Time 2s, with another ring, has merit...
Jerry West? West was still #1 on that '72 lakers squad.

I think Kyrie is the perfect 1b for a ball dominant 1a.

Kyrie can play off the ball and dominate the offense when needed, players like Luka and Lebron need someone like that. Hell a prime James Harden would've had at least one ring with a Kyrie Irving riding shotgun.

Barring injury the Mavs are winning the ring this year. The synergy between Kyrie and Luka looks like a replay of him and Bron back in 2016

Are we talking about guys who never won a championship as a clear number one option but won as a robin?

cause there are several basketball players who won in the batman role and in the robin role.

If we are talking about guys who never did it in batman role I mean there is Kevin McHale, James Worthy, Sam Jones, Havlicek, Pau Gasol, Pippen, Tony/Manu, David Robinson technically was a Robin to Tim Duncan in those championship years. Klay Thompson was a great 2nd option. And so on.

Kyrie is a very talented player, his resume is interesting though. From 2015 to 2017 looked more than great in the playoffs, then nothing worth attention until now. It would be unfair to guys who won also several championships and contributed to many years of long playoff runs.
Parker was the best player on the 2014 Spurs. I've been saying this since then and I thought it was pretty clear because he was the best player on the '13 Spurs too...
Jerry West? West was still #1 on that '72 lakers squad.
Nah Wilt was regarded as their best player, I have to look it up but I once found an article that captured the sentiment of the time that said Wilt was the best player that year...

Sums it up. Wade is the anomaly that actually won a champ as the clear number 1, before LBJ arrived. And even when he arrived, almost won it as a number 1 with LeBron playing sidekick. I'd definitely say all of LeBron's championship "assistants" were more so co-pilots rather than Robins. With LeBron being the lead Pilot. That's the most accurate description I can give, without disrespecting bron or his teammates. :manny:

Clearly you don’t know what a 1B is.

Show me Pippen mirroring Jordan’s numbers in a Finals series.
:mjlol:.

Whoever made that graphic conveniently left off rebounds because Bron had 16 of them as opposed to Kyrie's 3...

...and Bron's 3 steals

...and his 3 blocks

Do you níggas not get tired of being jackasses:mjlol:?

So you expect Kyrie to match Lebron in rebounds :stopitslime:
I expect you níggas to tell the complete story instead of quarter-truths, yes:mjlol:.

"Show me Pippen mirroring Jordan’s numbers in a Finals series."

Then gives a 1-game example that doesn't even tell the complete story of said game.

You níggas suck:dead:

Look at Gasols numbers vs Kobe's for the duration of that post season run and series. If you have to cling to the inefficiency of Kobe in that game 7 as a "gotcha" as to why we should overrate Gasol's importance relative to Kobe's, then that's a losing argument. We could do these game to game statistical nitpicks for every NBA Finals going back to the 1950s. There was a clear distance between Kobe and his teammates during those 3yr Finals runs. Even counting the 2008 loss to Boston. Gasol played a very very solid and important role in the 2009 and 2010 titles. But that role was a very clear and undebatable sidekick/robin role. :manny:
