If Dallas wins a title will Kyrie be put on the Mt Rushmore of 1B/Robin players alongside Pippen…..?

Clearly you don’t know what a 1B is.

Are we talking about guys who never won a championship as a clear number one option but won as a robin?

cause there are several basketball players who won in the batman role and in the robin role.

If we are talking about guys who never did it in batman role I mean there is Kevin McHale, James Worthy, Sam Jones, Havlicek, Pau Gasol, Pippen, Tony/Manu, David Robinson technically was a Robin to Tim Duncan in those championship years. Klay Thompson was a great 2nd option. And so on.

Kyrie is a very talented player, his resume is interesting though. From 2015 to 2017 looked more than great in the playoffs, then nothing worth attention until now. It would be unfair to guys who won also several championships and contributed to many years of long playoff runs.

Pippen is my favorite player, but I'm reluctant to call anybody a lockdown defender in the NBA, even in the 90s. Dudes are eventually gonna get open looks. Many of those dudes just flat out missed those open shots.

I measure defense like I do offense, like how did you do in clutch minutes? What key block, steal, or deflection did you have when it really mattered?

Taking a quick look at StatMuse, Kyrie averaged 25ppg to LeBron's 26ppg during the 2016 post season. Of course LeBron had the better assist stats and rebounding stats. But from a scoring perspective, what "Robin" was that close to their Batman in terms of carrying the scoring load? Certainly not Pippen. Kyrie was never a true sidekick. He was always a co-pilot. So, I think a 2nd title would do more than put him on some sort of sidekick mount rushmore.

LeBron averaged 29 ppg. Kyrie averaged 27. Now go ahead and move the goalpost from the bolded, stanley.
He was close in points. Thats true. See thats how you do it. No bu bu bu. No name calling. Just accepting that someone provided a valid response to what I said and KIM. Feel free to try it. Its a very stress free life.

LeBron has always needed players like that to be his “help”. Like they have #1 talent but something about them keeps them from leading teams on their own. It’s like someone being a rockstar employee that doesn’t want to go into management. Kyrie is that. AD is that too. A real #2 is Pippen or Gasol. Neither of those two are capable of scoring like that for multiple games.
