What the fukk has he done?
Ice Cube was one of the main folks pushing for Gavin Newsome to sign the bill allowing for reparations studies and is credited by grassroots democrat organizations as being key to getting the bill signed. Here's a video breaking down his role in pushing the reparations conversation forward as well as him denouncing Trump and revealing his working relationship with democrat Gavin Newsome and using that positive working relationship to help getting that bill signed.

What have you done but be a loud and wrong sissy online?

Why does nobody ever consider voting and organizing locally and supporting the candidates you want in the primaries
Because that would be actually helpful to black people and something that should be done. So instead these folks wait to until the general election and start this bullshyt hand wringing on the dems to discourage voting (against the Republican candidate) that only benefits racists.

Same song and dance he did last cycle. Dude been quiet since Trump lost too, where is his endorsements for friendly politicians for the coming primary? Shouldn't he be gearing up for that if he's serious, not the 2024 iteration of 2020's "dont vote" type garbage?

So it's c00ning when you don't blindly vote for democrats and it's c00ning when you don't vote for neither political parties?

I keep asking this question and not getting a proper answer for it: What exactly has voting done for black people?
According to our friends on here, you’re a c00n if you didn’t vote for either white supremacist in 2020, friend. :francis:

There are a couple of irrefutable facts:

  1. Black folk vote for democrats at a FAR higher clip than ANY other minority group. Yes, that includes LGTBQ (Gays: ~81%, Blacks: ~90%)
  2. Black folk are the poorest group in the United States.

We continue to do the same thing and expect different outcomes.

If Cube wants to speak with Republicans and see what they have to offer for black folks, why wouldn’t we welcome this? Isn’t that the absolute point of politics?

Why would Republicans give up their base for doing anything for black folks when that base is wholly against it?

It still blows my mind how people who put zero effort into holding their own politicians accountable are the first to blame them for not being heaven sent.

You have dudes who never email or talk with local politicians/representatives, never show up to town board meetings, never campaign for 3rd party or ideal candidates, and overall never do anything to actually hold Democrats or any other political group accountable but are still the 1st to complain about everything.

But let's say that the Democrats have ZERO benefits to Black people.

Then, what should we do REALISTICALLY?

3rd Party support has been suggested since the dawn of time. Hell, Ross Perot literally became the face of it at one point.

Who are these "3rd Party" candidates who have ideal policies and agendas and will fix things overnight?

Also, keep in mind that a good portion of "3rd Party" candidates are White Libertarians who are basically just MAGA shills who smoke weed and have gay cousins.

You can't just vaguely suggest "3rd Party" and not suggest any specific candidates with great ideas and policy proposals. At least the Democrats have Gary Chambers who's about as pro-Black as a modern politician can get.

These are the realistic options. We can either:

A. Vote Dem but better vet which Democrats to represent our communities/states
B. Search for a 3rd Party candidate who isn't a Libertarian MAGA shill and rally around them despite the chances of them winning being low
C. Take a chance with a Republican despite how openly fascist/racist/reactionary/"anti-woke" the modern GOP is

These are your only options. Anyone saying otherwise is looking for a pipe dream.

Yet the richest Black communities in America are also in Blue heavy areas.

I'm from Queens which is one of the few places in America where Black household incomes are higher than White household incomes and NYC is Democrat af. The middle class Black areas in the DMV, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Houston, etc. are also run by Democrats.

If the GOP has better solutions for raising the economic standard for Black America then why are Black folks in Red States like Mississippi and Alabama the poorest and least educated group of Black people in the entire country?

Also, not everything has to do with politics. Jews vote Democrat at a very high rate and poor rural Whites vote GOP at a very high rate.

So in other words, do not even try? Lets' continue to do the same thing and slide further into economic obscurity?

When some 300 republicans officials supported gay marriage back in 2013, do you think they had the full backing of their base?

Go ahead and try and see where it gets you

300 Republican officials, of how many were of the house and senate?

Also same-sex marriage was legalized through the supreme court and had nothing to do with legislation so how they felt about it means very little when they had no choice in a vote

Just a couple of rebuttals:

  • People in Alabama/Mississippi (of any race) are typically going to be less educated/wealthy than people in huge metropolis like NYC.
  • The poorest locations in those cities that you've listed are mostly black and also ran by Democrats- so I'm not sure your argument sticks.
My point was simply that black folks (middle class and poor namely) have been indoctrinated to believe that we HAVE to vote for Democrat's, no questions (or requests) asked.

I def don't think Ice Cube is c00n even if I disagree with him BUT the fact of the matter is Republican fiscal policy benefits him way more. Also too, I think what we really need to do is inject Black (ideally male) youth into into the Democratic party and over the years vote them up the ladder.
