I don't like being 185 though. I'm thinking 160 would be a good goal, the girl is shorter than me and was around 145 ish. she has gotten smaller but that's too small for my taste.
U have some conflicting goals....

If u want that chick's legs/butt.... based on the very (very :aicmon:) limited pics u showed u will need to put on more muscle. Muscle weighs a lot. So u might stay at 180, but look a lot leaner and smaller. I wouldnt worry about weight.... use your strength and measurements as your guides. Sounds like you want to be stronger while shrinking down those (God given :mjcry: ) hips and waist. U can probably do that without losing much if any weight.

For the record I'm not an authority by any means. I feel like I read/learn enough to help people get started and after that it's what works best for the individual.

IMO its best to lose the weight first.

If you're not happy w/ the amount of fat you have now...its only going to get worse if you try to gain muscle.
Get to a fat percentage you're happy with, and then slowly gain muscle.

You MUST count your calories...or at least get an idea of how much you're eating everyday.
My weight didn't change until I counted my calories for 2 weeks...not I can just guess what I'm getting w/o breaking out my phone.

@The ADD @GinaThatAintNoDamnPuppy! ok what do you suggest when dieting down? Like I said before, I didn't measure anything, I just ate healthy. This is an example:
breakfast- oatmeal, 2 eggs, toast
lunch-grilled chicken w/ spinach salad
dinner- roasted red potatoes and grilled chicken
I also snack on fruit during the day but all of this was during when I was committed. I've been eating like crap recently.
My guess would be too much carbs in fruit and starch/grains . For example, if you're eating oatmeal, the toast is putting you over your limit for the meal. How much fruit are you eating? What kinds? You should pick low glycemic (berries, green apples)over high (mangoes, bananas). You should change snacking on fruit to snacking on non starch veggies (no potatoes, limit corn and carrots) as much as you can. And up your lean protein.

Just wondering why you can't measure chicken or fruit? You can google then easily and find the recommended amount and nutrition info

Yes, after meal prepping I realized the fruit I was eating had way to many carbs in them and the reason why I have oatmeal and toast is b/c just one doesn't fill me but I am going to do smaller meals and see how that helps.

For example, when I buy a package of chicken breast, it gives me the weight of the whole thing and the nutrition info on the back which is 4 oz per serving. If I can't measure it, idk how many servings I'm having. Same thing with the fruit, since they come in different sizes and simply googling wouldn't help, at least for me.
