Folks who didnt like this obviously never saw the original godzilla films. He didnt get much screen time in the original either. And the people were always a big part of the story. And lets get one thing clear... Godzilla movies were never some critically acclaimed films with great acting and stories... ALL the old movies were TRASH from a critical standpoint but that was part of the appeal. It was a dude in a goofy lizard suit kickin over buildings. Folks acting like the old movies were oscar winners and shyt. folks aint even seen the old joints.

"The nuke we're using will make the old nuke look like a firecracker."

*nuke goes off in Bay, San Fran is somehow unaffected*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Every human aspect of the movie was utter garbage. Every moment when Zilla was on screen stuntin was dope.

Seriously, if you're not even going to try to make the human aspects plausible, just give me my Zilla spectacle. I don't need some uncharismatic dude looking Mothra and Zilla in the eye a dozen times, jumping 300 feet from a bridge, giving his G.I. Joe toy to a little kid on a shuttle, and jumping on a boat that's slowly moving away from the shore when there's only 13 minutes until detonation. fukk all that. Double down on that blue atomic breath and spare me the half ass attempts at sentiment. I was rooting for the "hero" to die, dude brought nothing to the table whatsoever. And his wife was the most useless pathetic bytch I seen in a movie in a minute. Looked like the director spent every scene with her saying "do the scared, hysterical face again." The Asian dude's sidekick was hilariously pointless too - bytch just stood around pointing at shyt.

There were flaws in the writing in this one that shouldn't have been there, but you're right about Godzilla's screen time and the focus on the humans. Also, the original Godzilla wasn't trash from a critical standpoint, even though it was goofy.

Shout out to Dark Knight Rises.

Yeah, that was another classic. Though my favorite implausible parts of that movie were when dude climbed out of the prison and somehow found a plane ticket and a passport to get back to Gotham, and even though he only had so much time left before the total destruction of the city, he decided to make a fiery display on the bridge just to floss on dudes and let them know Batman was back in the motherfukkin house yurd nah mean?

The entire movie was a disappointment after Dark Knight. Talia making a heel turn and switching into her stereotypical "Asian" outfit at the 11th hour, Bruce suddenly falling for Selena with no buildup, Bruce healing from a broken back by getting a punch in the spine, flying back to Gotham with no plane, getting past the military blockade and Bane's guards on every entrance to the city... just damn. And yeah, everyone in Gotham would have gotten cancer from that bomb. And even that movie wasn't quite as bad as Man of Steel. DC has been fukking up royally, and that probably won't change anytime soon since they don't even respect their own characters: David Goyer Thinks Only Virgins Know Who Martian Manhunter Is, Considers She-Hulk to Be a "Giant Green Porn Star"

I didn't see Man of Steel. That shyt was wack? I actually enjoyed the Dark Knight Rises to an extent, because I'm perfectly fine suspending disbelief and granting creative leeway for blockbusters. But yeah, my dude got some caveman chiropractic treatments and did a few sets of push-ups and he was ready to save the world. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Godzilla was a snoozefest for me except when Zilla was onscreen.
