I saw Godzilla tonight

Cloverfield is trash but Pacific Rim is so much better than Godzilla its not even close.

There isn't a single aspect of Godzilla thats better than Pacific Rim. Monster fights? Character development? Story? Overall movie? Hell no.

This Godzilla is only better than '98 Godzilla and thats not saying much.

It's starting to look more and more like Mothra will be in the sequel. Legendary is in negotiations with TOHO over certain monsters at the moment. My best guess is it's for Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Rodan (the classic 4 in another movie would be ).

Wait...that whole scene messed up the movie for me....they went door to door in the little cave jawn but didnt hear the cockroach leave??? Nobody tipped em off like yo theres a massive hole in the side of this mountain??

There's a lot of inconsistencies in the movie. Like when the Muto escapes in Japan Cranston yells out to his son when a crane collapses on the van he's in, even though Cranston is like a hundred feet away and couldn't possibly know/see that his son was in the van.

Or how whenever the power is out, nobody seems able to track the monsters' positions even though they'd still be making a helluva lot of noise.

And after both Godzilla and the Muto first make way into San Francisco, hours after the military has already declared a citywide evacuation, we get an interior shot of people working in an office who suddenly seem panicked and shocked to see the Muto fly by, like why the fukk were these people still working like nothing was happening in the first place?

Man this movie was disappointing. Such wasted potential.
The movie was watchable but it was not good. The protagonist is boring as fukk. Wantanabe talking about restoring balance without any emphasis. The cutting of the scenes:@. The constant focus on the humans. fukk the humans, We came to see Gojira. Why you no let see Gojira damn it . Not that it bothered me they were all mysterious about Godzillas appearance. It really didn't 'cause when we finally see him in all his glory it was piff. That beast is beautiful man, the size, the look, the detail He was perfect. They shoulda stopped there. I also didnt mind that they cut the first fight but the second when Gorija is in San fran coming out that water and looking at that Muto like 'Come at me bro' . UNFORGIVABLE!!! I was so pissed I think I had a tear in my eye, and they did it again and again . When it came down to the final get down I was half near shytting myself thinking of how epic it would be but it left me so heartbroken. The cgi was amazing but thats about the only saving factor of this movie.
