I respect Tim Walz but his and other democrats take on the murder of that CEO is part of why people think democrats are out of touch.

Wasn’t he killed yesterday :dahell:

We don’t even have details as to why he was murdered. Correlation doesn’t always lead to causation, it could’ve been a hit for insurance money from a spouse and it would have nothing to do with his healthcare policies :francis:

yea it's definitely a read the room type of situation
who woke up this morning wondering what Tim Walz stance on the hit was? It's not like there is pressure for people to speak on this. publicly both sides of the aisle seem to have a "fukk dude" attitude about the whole thing so it cost you nothing to stfu

the aspect of this that none of these politicians will touch, except for Bernie Sanders, is how fukked up the insurance industry is. THAT's the main topic coming from the common ppl on both political spheres far as I can see

You're expecting Democrats to act like Republicans, when that shyt doesn't work for Democrats, because their appealing to two different bases.

Come on

These are national leaders.

They can’t say what they really think.

Some might be with the people on this, for others who knew him of course they’re going to be upset.

I’m thankful that Senators and Governors aren’t expressing burner account and Coli thoughts nationally.

Nggas acting like a man who says whatever he wants and said "I saw them eating cats and dogs on TV too" didn't just get elected.

This respectability shyt DOES NOT WORK. I don't know how many election losses mf will need to take before they figure it out.

Do NOT express condolences to the family of a multimillionaire who got rich denying people life saving care. He easily could have said he has no comment at this time or could have said "it's tragic that a man felt the need to commit murder" side with the motherfukking public, NOT the CEO.

People are accusing you of being out of touch with the public and saying this is one of the reasons you lost the election. What you DON'T DO is say that you knew the guy that the public hates and say that you have sympathy with HIM instead of his victims.

I have zero expectations for a politician to adopt the kind of celebratory rhetoric you see on social media, especially when it comes to someone being assassinated, no matter who they are. They're always going to engage in diplomacy. There's a stark difference in expectations from someone in that position compared to the average "radical" twitter user. We can freely express that kind of rhetoric, especially since we're not using our real names or posting our jobs, but these people are bound by their position, and that forces them to engage in a more measured kind of political communication. Some of you have radicalized yourselves into stupidity.

Name me ONE GOP MEMBER that cheered for the CEOs murder.

Name one!
Of course they wouldn't be happy, they LOVE the rich. Their leader is a racist billionaire who refused to pay people who built his hotels and they are fukking with elon musk, the world's richest man! Of course this is like 9/11 to them and a deep tragedy. Someone of their class got touched.

I expect that out of THEM I don't expect "oh such a shame, he was a really good guy who ran a good business" from the people who are SUPPOSED to be fighting for the common man. How can people expect you to care about their interests when you're expressing solidarity with someone they HATE whose decisions literally killed their family members and friends? Make it make sense.

Yeah, you have a slight point of the criticism of Tim Walz . Its one of them "damn if you do, damn if you dont" situations.
