I respect Tim Walz but his and other democrats take on the murder of that CEO is part of why people think democrats are out of touch.

So Trump is right to act like a jackass.

That’s what you’re really saying.
What I'm saying is that he said what he believes. He's genuinely a racist and a misogynist. He says what he believes and the people who believe him rock with that because they feel he's cut from the same cloth as them. They believe the same shyt he does and feel relieved that someone is validating them.

The key here is consistency. He's consistently racist. He's consistently pro big business. He's consistently anti woman. He's consistent with his horrible positions. When white people voted for him, they genuinely believed he would protect white supremacy and he did. When he said he'd ban Muslims and get a border wall started, he followed through.

The issue democrats have is that they appear inconsistent. You're pro international law and human rights, but then have no smoke for Israel. You're pro workers rights, but invite billionaires who do not care about workers rights to speak at your convention and propose no raise to the minimum wage. You're pro Latino, but supported a draconian border bill. You're pro black but support the prison industrial complex. You're pro Healthcare but refuse to support Medicare for all or further regulations on health insurance companies like this one. You can't be pro free speech while clamping down on peaceful campus protests against Israel. You can't be pro small business while taking millions of dollars from big businesses for your campaign and STILL LOSING to someone who raised less money and said the most insane shyt ever on national TV and continued to double down.

They come across as inconsistent in their positions and just saying whatever. They're so risk averse that they want to be all things to all people while ultimately being for nobody. Trump is willing to say what he actually believes and does not care or back down when cornered, he doubles down on his beliefs.

Is it too much to ask for democrats to believe in the common man and double down on their beliefs and maintain consistency? Judging by the responses in this thread, apparently it is. Trying to appeal to Republicans didn't work. Trying to appeal to older voters didn't work. Trying to play nice with big business didn't work. But apparently they should keep trying

Sorry, no one should I can’t endorse insanity, vitriol and stupidity for the sake of consistency.

Where in any of the posts I've made do I indicate they should be anywhere as stupid or mean as Donald Trump?

I'm asking them to be CONSISTENT. I'm asking for them to read the room. If people feel like they're being screwed over by the economy as it is, rather than saying "look at the stats though! We're actually great!" You should be asking "WHY do you feel that way? What's happening?"

It's insane to call Republicans hypocrites and then at the same time engage in hypocritical behavior. It hurts your credibility. They KNOW what they're getting with Donald Trump and they like it because it's what they believe. He's not trying to make them believe something they do not already believe, he is reflecting the beliefs that they share in common which is shaped by the media they both consume.

He's watching the same fox news they are and saying "I too saw that story about the migrant crime, and I want to do something about it!" Democrats are not reading the room and looking at that their base wants and acknowledging the feelings and wishes of their base. They're so busy pretending to be the "level headed" party that the end up holding two incongruent beliefs at the same time and failing to motivate their base.

If people are happy that a CEO is gunned down, is it a crazy question to open the conversation around WHY that is? Is it crazy to ask why people would express sorrow at the passing of a musician or actor but be happy that this motherfukker died and to grapple in a public forum with what that says about the country and how people are feeling?

Apparently yes.

The Right have really done a number on y'all. Dems out of touch because they don't drown themselves in radicalism. I don't know, maybe the answer is not to go further down that rabbit hole where the end is only of a dystopian nature?

We might as well just let the robots take over if we ain't gonna give a fukk about being human.
