Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

Stringer only cared about the money once Avon was gone. Thats why he got at dangelo, he let east side hustle in the towers and he set avon up. Once he saw that avon was about to fukk up the money he got at him too. Bodies fukked up the money. The cops wouldn't even know what avon looked like if it wasnt for the bodies.

Funny thing is he was right. And it's exactly what the co op was. Great product. No beef. No bodies. Everybody got richer

But you gotta have the whole crew and other targets realize the same. Cause all it takes is one nikka like marlo to say "fukk that" and come through and take everything cause you look weak

All Avon had to do was agree to join the Co-op like Brianna and String told him to :smh:

The first time I watched the series I was an Avon Stan, then the 2nd go-around I was like :aicmon:, the third time I was full on :pacspit:

Dude was too stubborn and stuck on them raggedy ass towers and play fighting in the streets
There's a reason writers name the wire one of the best shows of all time

It goes back to chess. King and queen. Queen has every move in the book. But the king only has one move

Stringer and joe were queens. Had all the smarts to do everything and make the most money.

And both were cancelled out by kings, using one move. Brute force.

JFK had all the power in the world. Could have made all sorts of moves. One person with a gun shuts all that shyt down quick

Drug game is the same. You can be smart as you want. When nikkas strap up and murder your whole team, you done

stringer didn't have it in him to be a number 1 like avon. u can see it in the way he hid the deal he made with prop joe from avon. while avon was in jail stringer had a golden opportunity to take full control of the barksdale organization and do whatever he wanted, instead he acted like a ho which led to his demise via mouzone and omar. stringer knew then that once avon got out there was gonna be more problems between them, but he didn't have it in him to make the power move and take out avon and brianna instead of just d'angelo. u could argue that if he had taken out avon he wouldve been a boss but even then he had no one loyal to him. he didn't understand that u couldn't be in the drug game without some amount of violence, he needed a weebay or a chris but his lack of loyal goons put him in a tough position when marlo was takin corners. theres always gonna be someone like marlo who lives for power and not money, which string didnt seem to realize.

Which is crazy cause Marlo was a young avon. Avon heard string and knew he was smart. He knew string had ideas and plans. Which is why he made him number 2

String was on some, oh just let me talk to Marlo about money and he'll change. Same talk that failed with Avon

But Avon only cared about his corners and being the king. That's why when marlo showed up to jail he told him the same thing

Now you the king out there but I'm the king in here. But I'll give you the Greeks for a fee. Cause you west side like me and that would basically mean you had to bow down and give me respect (and money) as being the king in here

That's where the writing fails. All those combined crews in the Co-Op is basically like the Persian empire to Marlo's 300 Spartans.

Stringer wasn't motivated by self interest when it came to him and Avon. He was literally begging Avon to get on the come-up with him, but when it became apparent that Avon was really on some Wile E. Coyote vs. Roadrunner shyt, he had to get rid of him by getting him locked back up

Seeing how Avon said that he was afraid of ending up like his uncle, you'd think he'd have a more realistic view of how that street king shyt usually ends

stringer was my fav....I thought he was the brain behind that shyt. that nikka could be a ceo somewhere else...he really didn't fit in the drug game like that. but yeah he wasn't the overall boss even though I preferred him.

and nikkas underrated prop joe. that nikka was also a street genius. would still be alive if his fakkit ass nephew wouldn't have sold him out to marlo.:stopitslime:

and marlo is just a straight street beast. nikka was emotionless and a cold blooded killa. the ironic thing is at the end, marlo was giving everything that stringer wanted....but marlo didn't want that. he wanted people to remember his "name".:to:

prop joe fukked up when he was trying to put marlo down... you teach him everything, and show him the ropes, eventually he didnt need prop joe... didn't he introduce him to the connect too?

Prop Joe introduced Vondas to Marlo to keep Chris and Snoop from escorting Cheese's punk ass to a vacant rowhouse
