I ain't even gonna comment on the topic. All I'ma say is give Avon Slim, Cutty, Weebay, Stinkum, and Bird and not only does Marlo never come up but the whole fukking city is locked down
Naw you need a smart nikka like String on the team to really come up

Without String most of them nikka you named would've been dead or doing long bids before Marlo even hopped off the porch

I'm just talking about hitters. I wasn't cutting String out. He not on the street team.

The thing that's great about the Stringer Bell character is that your opinion of him changes if you rewatch the show. The second time going through the show it's easy to realize that Stringer wasn't all that smart. He made a lot of stupid moves throughout the show.

His own greed + snake nature did him in. He used Avon's platform to do dirt against his own boss and he didn't have anything built for himself, he would've gone down sooner or later.

I've always felt they we're trying to set marlo up the same way they had stringer (except using a different tactic and fake paperwork) and Marlo just based on knowing where he stood in regards to those snakes said "nah, I'm good". Or to put it another way he knew who he was dealing with and didn't trust those lawyers.

On my second watch, Marlo essentially became my favorite character. But, I do think you're giving him a bit too much credit with the lawyers. It's not so much that he didn't trust them as he didn't really understand that whole world. Unlike Stringer, though, he knew what he was which is where I agree with you. He did absorb knowledge over time.

This is still one of my favorite pieces on him as a character.

Is Marlo Stanfield the meanest man in Baltimore or just an efficient businessman? | Media | theguardian.com

stringer was my fav....I thought he was the brain behind that shyt. that nikka could be a ceo somewhere else...he really didn't fit in the drug game like that. but yeah he wasn't the overall boss even though I preferred him.

and nikkas underrated prop joe. that nikka was also a street genius. would still be alive if his fakkit ass nephew wouldn't have sold him out to marlo.:stopitslime:

and marlo is just a straight street beast. nikka was emotionless and a cold blooded killa. the ironic thing is at the end, marlo was giving everything that stringer wanted....but marlo didn't want that. he wanted people to remember his "name".:to:

Real talk, that shyt had me hating Meth in real life for a minute :mjlol:
