why would they? his only connection to her is being an other dimension version of her brother. there is no such connection to either jean or max to this character.

regarding the FF, when it comes to fiction, noone knows what they want until they get it. noone wanted iron man, black panther, cap america, or thor until the effort was put behind them except for previous avengers fans. if the movies are done right, there will be demand.

outside of wolverine, logan and first class, there isnt much in the storytelling department in the xmen movies either. at least the marvel movies are more consistent. the special effects were draws in the early movies

Marvel can't handle tone and thematic stories, that's why you'll never get an X-2 or Logan.

Look at how they handle death, it is almost always ambiguous and never direct.

X-Men kills all of their heroes in the opening of DOFP. Ambiguous death to heroes in the Thanos flix. Marvel movies now are about seeing various heroes on the screen, quipping and having moments. That isn't a quality product, that's fast food slop.

Iron Man and Spider-Man are written the same way.

what was special about x-2 story wise? the fox movies didnt know what they had with the franchise and tried to rest on which actors were popular, instead of the characters themselves which got us a mystique and wolverine focused franchise, the complete dismissal of major characters(cyclops, the leader of the xmen was nothing more than a glorified special guest character, angel was one and done in the 3rd movie), and heavy focus on special effects, which isnt bad, but nightcrawlers and quicksilvers scenes are the standouts of their respective movies. and theres the editorial fukkery involved with the movies which goes back to focusing on actors rather than characters. are the marvel movies perfect? hell no. does marvel do dumb shyt? absolutely.(im still irritated with a LOT of the decisions floating around black panther 2 because they seem mostly reactionary, or outright stupid) but marvel does not seem embarrased of their source material and actually seems to embrace it. and as much shyt as they get for being "quippy" comics have been that way for a long ass time. if marvel movies are slop, then the xmen movies were rotten fruit
