I hate how long they're making us wait for X-Men in the MCU

Overrated and forgettable

trash ass villains

ruined a great comic
Not at all. Logan was more based off of westerns like Unforgiven and Shane than it was supposed to be based off of Old Man Logan, and I'm glad for that. It was a story of two mutants on their final days begrudgingly saddling up to help out one last time. I also liked the more ground based off villains of Donald Pierce and Dr. Rice in this movie. It was refreshing not having a villain try to end or take over the world for once.

I’m just waiting to see if Marvel movies are gonna get like the comics (DC/Marvel) eventually. Where Marvel has its big names (I.e Avengers, Spider-man), and they’re guaranteed to be in the top sells, but they also produce lesser known properties (Eternals) that majority of readers tend to not gravitate too.

what was special about x-2 story wise? the fox movies didnt know what they had with the franchise and tried to rest on which actors were popular, instead of the characters themselves which got us a mystique and wolverine focused franchise, the complete dismissal of major characters(cyclops, the leader of the xmen was nothing more than a glorified special guest character, angel was one and done in the 3rd movie), and heavy focus on special effects, which isnt bad, but nightcrawlers and quicksilvers scenes are the standouts of their respective movies. and theres the editorial fukkery involved with the movies which goes back to focusing on actors rather than characters. are the marvel movies perfect? hell no. does marvel do dumb shyt? absolutely.(im still irritated with a LOT of the decisions floating around black panther 2 because they seem mostly reactionary, or outright stupid) but marvel does not seem embarrased of their source material and actually seems to embrace it. and as much shyt as they get for being "quippy" comics have been that way for a long ass time. if marvel movies are slop, then the xmen movies were rotten fruit

Your arguments are all over the place. The X-Men series hired trained actors and you could see that within their performance. Hugh Jackman's career was built off of his Wolverine portrayal. Their take on X-Men was to do it through a newcomer's eyes within an established universe to help us navigate it. Storytelling 101. People have said it for years, Cyclops is boring in the comics. They messed with Wolverine. His general acceptance came from Astonishing X-Men and forward. People went to see Wolverine, X-2, the classic, gave everyone screen time.

:stopitslime:

All of the callbacks and genuine source material used within the franchise says otherwise. Phoenix, Weapon X, God Loves Man Kills, Days of Future Past, Ultimate X-Men. The true mark of the impact was the film series actually giving way to the way Marvel implemented storylines into the comics. This is how Millar based the Ultimate line of X-Men comics.

As per key moments within the films, the Nightcrawler and Quiksilver scenes surely come to mind, they don't stand alone from the films they come from. That's the difference between Marvel and X-Men or Spider-Man films. The former has a moment that outpaces the rest of the film while the latter has great moments that doesn't debilitate the film by spending it's climax in one space.

Marvel movies are written like Bendis comics

No you have to wait. If it takes 4 or 5 years, it takes 4 or 5 years. There are no mutants in the MCU. They have to do a whole lot of story crafting to explain where they come from. Now if they want to be on some bullshyt like what Fox was doing with the Marvel properties, then go ahead. But if you want quality, you wait.

This is bullshyt
You don't need infinity stone radiation or alternate universe bullshyt to explain mutants
Just have them always be there

And no one is aware, talked or seen one ever? Nick Fury was just like, "Nevermind" regarding any powerful mutants be in the Avengers? That would garner a lot of complaints.

Cyclops is not boring in the comics

I know he isn't but the general consensus from a lot of people prior to Astonishing X-Men was him being a baby, scumbag and a boy scout.

He's one of my favourite characters from the 100 and up Uncanny X-Men run but he was tame to other people. No need to rewrite it.
