Physically yea, mentally, no.
Y'all got stay strong Breh, mentally. Like this shyt may just seem like another user typing shyt while casually tossing out "hopes and prayers" while switching over to Twerk vids and not caring but....I been through Irma.
Now I ain't using that as no badge of attention grabbing honor or anything like that, but I been where you is now.....and your shyt is, worse. We ain't had the flooding or the slow moving storm like y'all had to endure, but....the first few days, looking up at the bright sun, watching all you work and fought for demolished, wondering how you'll ever rebuild.....that shyt takes a mental toll...a VERY serious mental toll.
One thing the news will never really touches on unless somebody looking to make more grief porn for the world to "Thoughts and Prayers" towards cause there is ratings in this shyt, is the mental toll going through something like this takes on the whole area, cause It's there.....and it's gonna be tough.
The amount of folk we've all had to bury in the weeks and months AFTER the storm, was 10 fold compared to who we lost in it and I'm not talking about folk that got sick or folk that got damaged during that shyt. The mental stress of losing your home, trying to adapt to the lifestyle we had to live, while having to battle with unscrupulous insurers who are now telling you your shyt is under-insured and give you a pittance to rebuild that can't even tack down half your roof, much less purchase the other fixtures you need to make your place a house as opposed to a dwelling....That shyt is a whole 'nother storm in and of itself.
The kids and feeble elderly gonna have a hard time dealing with this shyt as it is, but it's the able bodied who got to shoulder the load gonna get hit the hardest. I hope y'all manage to cope with this shyt better than we did, 'cause it was like every other week we had funerals for someone that just mysteriously checked out, one after the other.
I'm rambling here but, be strong, man. Keep us updated. Y'all will get through this.
