And the people want to question why Biggie is ranked so high. :rudy:

What's even funnier is some want to question him as a premier lyricist in Hip Hop History. Just cause Biggie didn't spit 1,000 multi-syllabic bars doesn't mean he wasn't lyrical. Again Biggie did more with less this is why other rappers paid attention and can't keep his bars out their rhymes. Here we are in 2012 and Kendrick and Meek did not complete either of their albums without a Biggie lyrical reference. In Meek's case he bit 2 lines on the same song. This is clear evidence of not only Big's influence but Big's Lyrical ability. His bars are so dope any rapper can reference or spit them today and they will again fit in their rhyme scheme's perfectly.

I agree that big is grossly underrated but i also believe a lot, but not all of the biting is due to how great he flowed his phrases out, more so than what he actually said. I feel like that about most bitten rhymes though.

AND THE SAGA CONTINUES:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fKPyCoBMeTQ#!

Biggie: "The Red and Black Lumberjack, with the Hat to Match" 94'

Joey Badass: "Still Rockin the Red and Black Lumberjack faithfully, I'm a Brooklyn N!gga" 13'

R.I.P. B.I.G. His Lyrics were so dope that rappers just can't help but use them over and over again.

Like J Cole and many others before and after him. Lupe emulated Big's flow one time and did a pretty good job:
