is this picture from the actual recording session and or in 96? (assuming my downfall was recorded then)
Big looks so young in this and its shocking because the music he made on say Life After Death was so mature looking back. Nas. Pac. Outkast were what 20 and made music for all demographics. I want to say Reasonable Doubt too but Jay was 26 lol. Anyway you cant say the same about tyga and Rack City.

“It was ahead of its time. He rapped from a perspective of someone who lived a full life. He rapped from a perspective of someone looking ahead, someone who was looking to move on from one phase to another. It was a double album which was a bold move. It also showed that he was an artist of substance, so much that one album would not be enough. He’s honestly one of the greatest to ever do it.”
- Nas on Life After Death (25 Favourite albums)

Biggie was only 22-23 when he recorded Life After Death

I'm torn. I kinda feel it was an untouchable record. Sure Ross drive by has him felling like he's Biggie crica 97. The song is aiight, it's more cause it's a Classic song being sampled so you going to naturally feel the beat. Of course Puff talking shyt is always funny. But again hearing this only made me want to listen to the original for the millionth time cause of how epic it was.

Probably one of the greatest album closers of all time. Mind you he closed "Ready To Die" with "Suicidal Thoughts" which was just as epic. Ross is really embracing this "New Biggie" image but Big was much more than image. Ross skills aren't there but the music is pretty good. So again torn on the remake, it's like someone remaking "It ain't hard to tell", I just felt it was an untouchable record but Puffy going to be Puffy, lol. Anyways, even though the LP version was timeless. The Original Version was amazing, they just couldn't clear the violin sample and Biggie sung the chorus not faith. Check it out:
