yeah, I noticed that too. it just means it's slightly more efficient

80 Plus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

probably because of that stupid backlit shyt :lolbron:

but yeah, not a big deal. they're basically the same

Is Cooler Master a no go for power supply? I'm at Tiger Direct right now and they have a Silent Pro M 850W power supply for 79. Its modular as well. I'll cop it now if its legit.

79.99. Regular price is 145.

I just want to be covered with this. I don't mind spending a few more. Its got the Bronze rating and its modular which people in here have recommended

looks like a good deal. it's $129 now on newegg

Yeah, I think I'm going to go back and pick it up. I read the reviews on TigerDirect's site for it and nobody has anything bad to say about it.

And I figure having the 850W will be best for upgrades in the future. It's the cheapest full modular PSU I can find at that price and the reviews are good all around.

Not worried about it. I just want something that's going to be high quality. I'm up to 771 right now... without a monitor.

I hate when they try to get you like that. at least newegg keeps all that mail-in rebate shyt seperate

and damn, a $50 mail-in rebate on something that costs $130? :whoo:

It was like 119, but after taxes it rung up at 130.

I looked at the cashier like...
:whoa:

Told her I'm good on that, and walked out.

Just took back my $530 PC back to Best Buy after realizing how easy it is to make your own. The PC i took back had 1TB HD, Quad Core AMD A8 processor @ 3.2 GHZ,6GB RAM, & crappy 4560 Radeon graphics.

and for only $341 i bought:

Newegg.com - Rosewill FBM-01 Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case - $29 (didnt really need this but figure my old case is beat up )

Newegg.com - Refurbished: Western Digital WD8000AARS-FR 800GB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - $49

Newegg.com - hec Orion XPOWER585 585W ATX12V 2.01 Power Supply - Power Supplies - $24

Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TA75MH2 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - $72 (came with free 8GB RAM below)

Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL - FREE

Newegg.com - AMD A10-5800K Trinity 3.8GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 7660D AD580KWOHJBOX - $129

The graphics card that comes with the CPU is good enough to play medium settings on most games (i usually only play WoW so im good). Either way,all i have to do is drop $150-$200 a good Graphics Card and i have a high end gaming PC for less then $500 :win:

Let me know how that A10 works for you. I want to go back to Intel, but there's no sense in doing that when I can get much more bang for my buck... Can take some of my parts I already have and build a system almost just like yours for less than 300 :myman:
