If you've never been there and you plan on getting more stuff that day, get the CPU last...They damn near usher you out the store after you ask for it. CPU's are sealed off on some fort knox shyt.

I'm about to order it online now. I'm about to check and see if they have anything else on my list that's cheaper.

So if I get that CPU I linked for 169 along with this motherboard...

ASUS P8Z77-V LX Socket 1155 Z77 ATX Intel Motherboard 369850 - Micro Center

They'll give me 40 off? So I'd be getting this motherboard for like 80 bucks.

Correct, the discount use to be applied directly online but as of recent you have to ask the person at the register for the discount if they don't know. At the store near me they know the deal.

I wish this place wasn't an hour away :noah:

I just added to my cart, and it applied the discount. My mom works out that way, but they said since it's instore pick up only, that the only way another person can pick it up is if they pay for it. I can't pay for it online and have her pick it up for me.

Copped the motherboard and the CPU, came out to 269 after taxes. I'll pick it up tomorrow after I get off.

Bout to hit the gym now, when I get back I'll look into finding a good power supply.

If you can, make sure you get a fully modular power supply. Don't want unnecessary extra cables cluttering up your case. Much easier to work with for upgrades and general maintenance

Advice after just building my PC. Buy all your parts from MicroCenter. TigerDirect/Newegg are expensive for everything. Love my gaming PC.

What about Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals though?

I know I listed the Western Digital 2TB drive but I just found this one on Amazon...

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-ST2000DM001-Barracuda-3-5-Inch-Internal/dp/B005T3GRN2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1353380937&sr=1-1&keywords=seagate+2tb]Amazon.com: Seagate ST2000DM001 Barracuda 7200RPM 2 TB SATA 6 GB/s NCQ 64 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive: Electronics[/ame]

Anybody had any issues with Seagate drives?

Total = 740.16 (without taxes)

So after manipulating some things around and finding a better power supply and throwing in the 6870 I came out a little cheaper than I initially did. I took out the additional CPU cooler and the optical drive from Liquid's suggestions. I also found single 8GB stick of ram for a dollar cheaper than the 2x4GB sticks that I originally went with.

Is that power supply good enough for what I'm working with?
