im glad anderson has shown some of you guys the light and understand now that government is not the key to black progress, progress is something that we can do with or without government

hopefully some of yall will fall back on your marxist/liberal/socialist brainwashing

When it comes to the means of production. Obtaining good prices for raw materials, the means of production. How can friends of African descent living in America overcome hurdles that may await them being overpriced for raw materials, most of which we emphatically, do not own. Will friends have to make better bonds in Africa for raw materials at some point to really compete in the market if we get to a point where we want to get into the means of production. ?

So you not only believe blacks are lacking in virtually every way possible.... you also think that black feel the government is the KEY to black progress :wow:

You also believe that anyone with a different economic vision than you - has been brainwashed :ohhh:

well means of production is a whole different level, anderson and this thread seems to be mostly talking about small business and controlling our own neighborhoods

raw materials are available in the open market, they are just commodities like oil or orange juice, anybody with the money can buy them

lets take the iphone or japanese electronics for example, apple or sony buy 1 pound of raw materials for $1 and then they transform that raw material into something worth $100, obviously the person with the raw materials will only get $1 and apple and sony get 99, so obviously the real money is manufacturing not in selling raw materials, that is why africa and black people will never really get rich from raw materials, because you can buy raw material for cheap

but back to your point, that is why need to control the means of production ie manufacturing, but to control the means of production requires education at a very high level with very specialized skills, which means higher education, which is why i dont understand why people think higher education is not important, there is no way black people can transform raw materials into finished goods with out a very high degree of education

I cosign it, but I do have my own ideas about black people.... My favorite parts aren't the generalizations about black folk... as far as what's fundamental to our success - I 100% agree with his business arguments. .

but the bottom line is you cosigned a video where anderson was saying things about black people that was very similar to what i have said about black people, i cosigned the video with a caveat, and you got your panties in a bunch over my caveat

you can think whatever you want to think, i believe in intellectual freedom and that there should be an open environment for ideas

You're hurting the dialogue though.

Dr. Anderson, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, The NAACP, Bill Cosby,Harry Belefonte etc.

I'm not sure on Obama, I think he understands, but the puppet masters are too strong...

I wouldn't consider Dr. Anderson to be a black leader in the mold of the people above since he is more on the fringes of the people and the organization you posted. You can argue that his views are outside the mainstream when it comes to black thought. I'd put him in a category with people like Amos Wilson.

Anderson is not talking about Small Business at all. He's talking about creating wealth. Real wealth as in cornering the market on an area that we are the major producers of a said product. He realizes that the start must be small & community focused but that is not his end all be all breh.

Like his Waterland Fisheries Factory. Dude is trying to be the main source of Gourmet Organic, clean, bred fish. I can't find the link/vid now but dude was speaking about trying to take the company Public as well.

:dwillhuh:I was under the impression i have always been terrible.

Their differences play no part in my list. They are all people who speak and have some influence over our community(some obviously more than others). In his defense I think only Farrakhan draws bigger crowds when speaking then Dr. Anderson.
:whoa:im not comparing any of them, or making any assertion other than they have influence.
